Frederic Winter for a Summer baby??

Title says it all! [name_m]Frederic[/name_m] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] has been one of our top combos for a boy for a long time, but this baby will be due in the summer. Would it be weird for a summer baby to have winter as a middle name?

[name_m]Frederic[/name_m] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is an amazing combo! I don’t think it’s weird to use in the summer

I don’t think it would be weird because of the season but I see [name_u]Winter[/name_u] as more of a feminine name so I find it weird in that sense. Best wishes deciding:)

It might be a little unexpected, but if it has meaning or it just seems like the right name for you, then use it! It is a great combo, any time of year.

It’s beautiful and agreed with the others, it doesn’t matter the time of year he’s born!

No, I think it’s perfectly fine. My MN is [name_f]April[/name_f] but I was a summer baby, and it hasn’t seemed weird ever.

I also think of [name_u]Winter[/name_u] as a feminine name so that’s more my issue with it. It’s not TOO strange to use on a [name_f]Summer[/name_f] baby.

I think it is a georgeous combo

Not weird at all. I know (and know of) lots of people with month/season names that weren’t born in that specific month/season.

wow, [name_m]Frederic[/name_m] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is stunning!
I also don’t think it matters if he’s born during the summer.

I quite like it!

If it’s a meaningful name that you like, I’d say go for it. The season of birth shouldn’t dictate someones name! It’s very handsome.

I love the name [name_m]Frederick[/name_m]/[name_m]Frederic[/name_m] and I’m a bit jealous I didn’t think of this combo, because it is perfect, completely!

That said, there will be the inevitable…

“Your middle name is [name_u]Winter[/name_u]? When’s your birthday?”
“[name_u]June[/name_u]/[name_u]July[/name_u]/[name_f]Summer[/name_f]”
“Oh, then why’s your middle name [name_u]Winter[/name_u]?”

I would say, as long as you have a reason you love the name [name_u]Winter[/name_u] (which clearly you do) so that your kid can answer that, then that should be enough. Most people will never know his middle name anyways, so it’s not like he’s going to spend a lifetime explaining it to people. So I think meaning is far more important than whether it makes sense to other people.

It’s such a great name combo!
