Freya instead of Anya

I had a lot of great feedback when I asked about the name [name_f]Katia[/name_f] yesterday, thank you all so much! We are still undecided if we will use it as a formal name for [name_f]Kate[/name_f] or not, but I’m still struggling a bit with a full name for her.

I was considering [name_f]Katia[/name_f] [name_f]Anya[/name_f] [name_f]Elizaveta[/name_f] but my concern is it is very Russian (and while I have some Slavic background, none of it is Russian) and next to my sons’ names, especially their very traditional and mainstream middles, it might be a bit too much. However, this may be our only girl and we aren’t honoring anyone, so I really do want to use names I love since it may be my only chance to do so.

I’m wondering if [name_f]Katia[/name_f] [name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Elizaveta[/name_f] is enough of a retreat from the Russian aspect, since [name_f]Freya[/name_f] is Norse, and it’s also becoming a lot more mainstream. It’s still a bit exotic but maybe more wearable? I love [name_f]Freya[/name_f] so much and would love to be able to use it.

Thanks again for your help! [name_u]Baby[/name_u] is due in [name_u]June[/name_u] so we have time, but I hate not knowing what her name is!

[name_f]Katia[/name_f] [name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Elizaveta[/name_f] would be my pick.[name_f]Brianna[/name_f]! I love [name_f]Anya[/name_f], but the sounds and flow of the [name_f]Freya[/name_f] combo work better to me and I like the feel of [name_f]Freya[/name_f] here too

I think both are fine, but I really love Katia Anya Elizaveta. Unless you have Norse heritage, I wouldn’t choose Freya over Anya. Would you like Katia Saoirse Elizaveta or Katia Maeve or Katia Phoebe?
