Freya or Astrid

I just wanted to see what you guys prefer between Freya and Astrid. Both are great strong scandanavian names with great meanings. My husband and I love both and are having trouble deciding between the two!

I really like both, and I think it would depend a bit on the person, but I do enjoy the strength behind [name_f]Astrid[/name_f], so that’s where my vote would go.

I really like both names, but my vote goes to [name_f]Freya[/name_f] because I have always found it absolutely beautiful.

Slightly prefer [name_f]Astrid[/name_f]! [name_f]Freya[/name_f]'s lovely but [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] definitely stands out more. Plus I think nicknames [name_u]Ari[/name_u] and [name_f]Trudie[/name_f] are cute for when she’s little. You can’t go wrong either way.

Gosh I love both, I can see why you’re having a hard time picking! They’d make marvellous sisters!

I feel like [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] is a stronger name for a first child so that’s my pick, though I do love both options!

I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the name [name_f]Freya[/name_f]! It’s just so goddessy sounding. I don’t like [name_f]Astrid[/name_f], it sounds off-putting with the -id part.

Such different propositions: soft or forceful, pretty or bold etc. Although, at the same time, they’re both names for artistic and innovative souls. Crazy [name_m]Rich[/name_m] Asians has an [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] in it, and that tips it for me - loved seeing someone with the name.

Never really been a fan of [name_f]Freya[/name_f], but love [name_f]Astrid[/name_f]!

[name_u]Love[/name_u] them both but would ick [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] as it stands out to me. I dont think that it is as common and just sounds more solid.

While I like both, I feel like [name_f]Freya[/name_f] is becoming more popular so I’d probably go with [name_f]Astrid[/name_f].

A little late to reply but I honestly adore both. I’m going to with [name_f]Freya[/name_f]. It’s such a wonderful name that has strength and beauty. :slight_smile:
