[name_f]Do[/name_f] you like [name_f]Freya[/name_f] or Freyja better? And do you like the name at all?
I like the meaning of the name (noblewoman), the Scandinavian origin, and that it could honor someone with the last name [name_m]Frasier[/name_m].
I’m hesitant because, to me, it’s one of those names that you see online, but would be hard to find “in the real world.” (like [name_f]Thomasina[/name_f] or [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f]) And the Freyja spelling only adds to that.

I’d go with [name_f]Freya[/name_f] - it’s the one I’d guess instinctively.
I like [name_f]Freya[/name_f] and I think it’s very usable. I’ve met a number in real life and I’m not sure where you are, but [name_f]Freya[/name_f] is currently 20 in the UK.
[name_f]Freya[/name_f]! I simply think Freyja is too complicated outside of Island, in [name_u]Sweden[/name_u] they prefer simply [name_f]Freja[/name_f].
I love the Freyja spelling but I don’t know how well it would work in the United States (where I live). On the one hand, some people on here are fairly certain that Americans would know to not pronounce the J but I’ve also asked a few friends to say “[name_f]Lilja[/name_f]” and all said the J so… I still really like the [name_f]Freya[/name_f] spelling, I just have a GP crush on Freyja.
I really like the name, and it’s one that’s grown on me throughout the years. It’s the name of one of my main characters, so I’m a bit biased. Her name is spelled [name_f]Freya[/name_f] because I wanted it to be as straightforward as possible.
I’ve seen both the [name_f]Freya[/name_f] and [name_f]Freja[/name_f] spellings, and I like them both. Freyja seems like a made-up name, like someone couldn’t decide which spelling they liked better, so they went with both. It makes me want to say Fray-JAH which just sounds weird. I think the name is rather pretty, just not with both a Y and a J thrown in there.
I prefer the Freyja spelling because it looks more interesting, sort of magical with some gorgeous imagery and it feels more authentic almost. Where I live (UK) [name_f]Freya[/name_f] is very popular and Freyja is in the top 500, so it feels very familiar to me.
Definitely [name_f]Freya[/name_f]! That’s one of my favorite baby girl names. I’m actually considering that one and also [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] for a future girl (if we have one). I love Scandinavian/Nordic names
[name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the name and really think you could go either way. Both are really pretty in my opinion. If you do [name_f]Freya[/name_f], you’re more likely to not have people constantly misspelling it (and maybe mispronouncing it). It’s more intuitive. But Freyja definitely has a cool vibe.
Definitely [name_f]Freya[/name_f], Freyja just looks awkward and invites potential mispronunciations. And yes, I love the name. I think it’s really pretty.
Both spellings are lovely… I like that they’re both extremely uncommon in the real world. However when all is said and when all is done Freyja is wierder, [name_f]Freya[/name_f] is not. [name_f]Freya[/name_f] had my vote.
Personally I like Freyja better, but I think [name_f]Freya[/name_f] is more usable.
I realize Freyja is a legitimate spelling. However, it looks as though random letters are being added just to be different. I wouldn’t use Freyja unless I had a Freyja in my genealogy line. I think [name_f]Freja[/name_f] is my favorite spelling just because it looks more exotic, but I also like the straight forwardness of [name_f]Freya[/name_f] and in the end that’s probably the route I’d take.

I’d have to go with [name_f]Freya[/name_f]. Though I do love the uncommon (not that [name_f]Freya[/name_f] is that uncommon), but [name_f]Freya[/name_f] just seems to flow better than Freyja.
I like both the [name_f]Freya[/name_f] and [name_f]Freja[/name_f] spellings xx
