Thoughts on [name]Freya[/name]? Is the mythological thing a bad issue? I kinda like the meaning and history. It’s cute a spunky, unique but “real” and I would use nn [name]Faye[/name]. It has a similar vibe to [name]Fiona[/name] and both are quite known/popular in [name]Ireland[/name] and [name]Scotland[/name].
I personally prefer [name]Fiona[/name]… BUT i have to say that [name]Freya[/name] is really growing on me latley!
And the combo of [name]Freya[/name] [name]Violet[/name] is quite nice!
As for the [name]Fiona[/name] combo i would say [name]Fiona[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]!
I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Freya[/name]. It feels soft, warm, and feminine without being saccharine. It’s also full of dignity, and in this case I think the goddess connection is actually a plus. [name]Freya[/name] ages exceptionally well, too.
I love [name]Freya[/name]! Although I do prefer the traditional spelling, [name]Freja[/name]. For some reason i’ve always hated the name [name]Fiona[/name], so that’s a no for me. I’d personally stick with [name]Freja[/name]/[name]Freya[/name] as it is more original sounding that [name]Fiona[/name]. Also, I do really love [name]Freya[/name] [name]Violet[/name].
I also like;
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Emmeline[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Wren[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Madison[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Ariel[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Posey[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Primrose[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Estelle[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Fifer[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Melody[/name]
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Lake[/name]
I love [name]Freya[/name]! If it came down to [name]Fiona[/name] and [name]Freya[/name], I would pick [name]Freya[/name]. Not because of the Shrek connections, but [name]Fiona[/name] has never done it for me.
I love [name]Freya[/name] [name]Violet[/name], it’s so pretty! I also like the idea of:
I am from Denmark and here [name]Freya[/name] (or any of the other spelling variations of Freyja (Icelandic), Frøya (Norwegian), [name]Freia[/name], [name]Freja[/name] (most common variant)) is really popular, and has been in top 10 for some time.
I really like the name, glad to see it used in the English speaking world. But for me it is a common name.
I really like [name]Freya[/name]. It’s different and even without knowing it has a mythological connection it just sounds…ethereal. It is also very strong sounding and unique.
I say go for it. As for middle names I like [name]Violet[/name] but I also like these: [name]Freya[/name] [name]Rowena[/name], [name]Freya[/name] [name]Rowen[/name], [name]Freya[/name] [name]Mykelti[/name], [name]Freya[/name] [name]Blaise[/name], [name]Freya[/name] [name]Blue[/name], [name]Freya[/name] Daenerys, [name]Freya[/name] [name]Danae[/name], [name]Freya[/name] [name]Sage[/name], [name]Freya[/name] Aisling - Baby Name Meaning, Origin, and Popularity | Nameberry, [name]Freya[/name] Ellowyn, and [name]Freya[/name] Aislinn.
I adore [name]Freya[/name], I have a little cousin called [name]Freya[/name] [name]Grace[/name], and she had a sister called [name]Erin[/name] [name]May[/name]. Here a few other combos for you to look at;
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Violet[/name] is just beautiful. So is the nickname [name]Faye[/name].
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Posey[/name] or [name]Freya[/name] [name]Claire[/name] would also work well.
Thanks guys! Yeah, [name]Freya[/name] will go on the list for sure. Which as of now, is [name]Fiona[/name], [name]Freya[/name], and [name]Stella[/name].
My vote is for [name]Fiona[/name]; personally I don’t see the big appeal of [name]Freya[/name]… it’s a little matronly-sounding. [name]Fiona[/name] is just so beautiful. I love both [name]Fiona[/name] [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Fiona[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]. Good luck!
So please educate me… Is the story behind the name mythological? Is it (or would it) be an issue for [name]Christian[/name] parents to use this name? I’ve asked questions like this before, over other names, not starting a debate… [name]Just[/name] curious:). It’s most definitely not an issue for DH or I, but his parents are very religious (not that that’ll influence us) and I’d just like to know if it’s a name that may insight controversy. I mean, for me, what girl wouldn’t want to be named after a goddess of love?
