My friend is considering names [name]Casimer[/name] and [name]Bjorn[/name] for a boy. The mn is likely to be [name]Wesley[/name] (her hubby’s name). Which do you like best? Please share your thoughts.
I really like [name]Casimir[/name]!!
[name]Bjorn[/name] makes me think of [name]Baby[/name] [name]Bjorn[/name] carriers and [name]Casimir[/name] of both cashmere and [name]Kashmir[/name], Pakistan.
I personally know a [name]Bjorn[/name] who is my age (just under 30), and I think it’s a great name for a guy! It probably helps that he’s one of those guys that I see as a cute younger brother, so I can envision the name on a child or an adult easily.
I don’t know anyone named [name]Casimir[/name], but it sounds very distinguished to me.
I don’t think your friend could go wrong with either choice!
I am absolutely in love with the name, [name]Casimer[/name]! I want to name my son that, but my husband is not quite on board yet…it is interesting to see it discussed here…I wonder if it is working its way into the Collective Consciousness because I thought it was not thought about at all anymore! The name means, “Keeper of [name]Peace[/name]” which I think is lovely, and was given to Polish royalty
[name]Casimir[/name] is definitely more distiguished than [name]Bjorn[/name] and I think it would have fewer pronunciation issues. Wish your friend all the best!
[name]Hi[/name] Everyone - Thanks for your replies. My friend ended up naming her son [name]Casimir[/name] ([name]June[/name] 2010). She likes uncommon names and is happy with her choice. It really suits her little boy and comes across as a strong, masculine name on him. I think [name]Bjorn[/name] is still on her list for a future boy. My friend will be delighted to hear that there are others who love the name too!
