My husband and I just started TTC for our second baby (our first son is [name]Silas[/name] [name]Derrick[/name]) and everyone is really quite excited about it. Last time we didn’t tell anyone what our first son’s name was going to be until he was born. I wish we had done the same thing this time, because when they asked us about names they all shot down our solid frontrunner for baby boy #2. They weren’t crazy about our definite girl’s name either. Unfortunately now I have 2 names that we [name]LOVE[/name], but our friends and family’s reactions make me second guess them. Boy’s name is [name]Callum[/name] [name]Theodore[/name]. What do you nameberrys think about this boy’s name? (I will post the same thing for the girl’s name in the correct forum.) [name]Do[/name] you like [name]Callum[/name] [name]Theodore[/name]? [name]Do[/name] you think people in general will have a negative reaction to the name? Does it go well with [name]Silas[/name]?
There is nothing wrong with [name]Callum[/name] [name]Theodore[/name]! It’s really quite handsome. Everyone has different opinions and tastes but this is your child and if that’s the name you love then use it, and poo on them!
I love [name]Callum[/name] [name]Theodore[/name]! It goes perfectly with [name]Silas[/name] [name]Derrick[/name], too. I think [name]Callum[/name] is one of those names that everyone is starting to love, though, so it’s a bit surprising that no one liked it (to me, anyway!). I’m a member of another naming forum whose style really isn’t like Nameberry’s… they’re more the [name]Jaxon[/name]/[name]Jayden[/name]/[name]Brinley[/name]/[name]Lucas[/name]/[name]Riley[/name] type, but on the off chance that [name]Callum[/name] is brought up it usually is received quite favorably. I think [name]Silas[/name] and [name]Callum[/name] are perfect and I wouldn’t doubt it for a second!
[name]Callum[/name] has been at the top of my list for months now. I’m 29 weeks and still haven’t found anything I like in quite the same way. Your family will love the baby and you have lots of time here. If it was me I would just stop talking about it and if people ask you say you haven’t decided or aren’t talking with others about it. Once the baby is here the name will fit and people will grow to love the name as they will already love the baby!
[name]Callum[/name] is a fine name and as one of the other posters said this is you and your husband’s child so what matters is that you love it not anyone else. They will get use to it in time and even if they don’t that is their misfortune not yours. It also fits well with [name]Silas[/name].
I love [name]Callum[/name]! And I love it paired with [name]Theodore[/name]. As I said in my post for your girl’s name, what matters most is what you and your DH think about the name. Go for it!
