Friend's potential baby names

My friend, who is currently 14 weeks pregnant, recently announced on Facebook what names she was considering:

  • [name]Sage[/name] [name]Aurora[/name] for a girl ([name]Aurora[/name] was originally going to be the friend’s middle name, that and she thought it sounded nice)
  • [name]London[/name] [name]Silvano[/name] for a boy ([name]Silvano[/name] being her husband’s middle name)

Personally, I love them! It warms my heart to see [name]London[/name] used on a boy. I’m kind of hoping it’s a boy just because of that. (that and I had previously toyed with the idea with naming a future son [name]London[/name], but chickened out at the last moment. I think she would be able to pull it off more, really) I also like the overall flow of [name]Sage[/name] [name]Aurora[/name]. What do you all think?

I prefer [name]Sage[/name] on a boy, but I think these names are very cool and I love them! I’ve met one boy named [name]London[/name] and he loves it. You’re friend has good taste.

I love [name]Sage[/name] [name]Aurora[/name]! And I have never seen [name]London[/name] used on a boy, but I wouldn’t mind seeing more male [name]London[/name]'s in the future! [name]Both[/name] names are adorable, and I love that they both have some significance for your friend.
Good luck to her!

Bump/Update: [name]Friend[/name] just announced last night that it’s a boy! She says his nickname would be either [name]Lonnie[/name] or [name]Donnie[/name]. Funny because just the other day I was thinking about her choice in names and wondering what kind of nickname [name]London[/name] would have.

I love [name]Sage[/name] [name]Aurora[/name]. [name]Silvano[/name] is awesome. I prefer to see [name]London[/name] on a boy, still not a huge fan, but I don’t hate it either. [name]London[/name] [name]Silvano[/name] has nice flow.

[name]London[/name] [name]Silvano[/name] is pretty cool - I prefer [name]Lonnie[/name] or [name]Lon[/name] to [name]Donnie[/name] as nicknames. [name]Donnie[/name] makes me think of The Big Lebowski still - funny movie but not an awesome association for a baby.

For what it’s worth, I know a three-year-old boy named [name]London[/name]. He goes by [name]London[/name], no nickname.

[name]Love[/name] [name]London[/name] [name]Silvano[/name]! I agree that [name]London[/name] is so refreshing on a boy. I like [name]Sage[/name] [name]Aurora[/name], but slightly prefer [name]Aurora[/name] [name]Sage[/name]…

I really like [name]London[/name] on a boy! I prefer it on a girl in the middle spot, and on a boy as a first is just great!

I don’t like the name [name]Sage[/name] at all, but [name]Aurora[/name] is gorgeous.

I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]London[/name] for a boy! [name]Sage[/name] is more boy to me

I much prefer [name]Sage[/name] for a boy. I’m not big on nn’s in general but I really don’t see a need for a nn with a short, simple name like [name]London[/name]. [name]Lonnie[/name] is on my list of boy names (as the given name). Your friend has good taste.
