From Audrey to Jocelyn

Hello again,

I have a 2 yr old girl named [name]Caroline[/name] and our last name begins with an A.

Here is our new list for the baby girl coming in a few weeks:

[name]Audrey[/name] - Pretty, but safe. Is it overly popular and maybe boring?
[name]Camille[/name] - I worry that people will nickname her Chameleon or other unappealing nn such as [name]Cami[/name].
[name]Ivy[/name] - I see this as a very cute name for a little girl, but I can’t make myself picture an adult professional named [name]Ivy[/name].
[name]Jocelyn[/name] - I think this is pretty but have trouble settling on it for some reason.

We are still pretty set on the middle name [name]Grace[/name] as it is a family name. My husband is super picky and can never explain to me his reasons for not liking a particular name. He has said no to so many beautiful, classic names, and he has vetoed my favorites ([name]Norah[/name], [name]Fiona[/name], and [name]Eliza[/name]). The above names are ones that were left on the list after the last veto session. Thanks for all opinions and suggestions. Be honest, I appreciate that as it helps me in negotations.

I love all of your names but I think [name]Audrey[/name] would be gorgeous with [name]Caroline[/name]. They both have a classic beauty all their own. [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Grace[/name] is very pretty!

[name]Audrey[/name] is way too popular and safe in my opinion. I think [name]Camille[/name] might be just a tad too similar to [name]Caroline[/name].
[name]Ivy[/name] is my favorite of all of them. And if you’re worried about it aging with her, she can always go by [name]Grace[/name] when she gets older if she prefers it. But I don’t really think it will be an issue. There will be other [name]Ivy[/name]'s in her generation.
It’s too bad your DH doesn’t like [name]Fiona[/name]. I [name]LOVE[/name] that name!

I feel like [name]Caroline[/name] and [name]Jocelyn[/name] are too close. Same ending and both with a C.

I like [name]Audrey[/name] and I think it goes well with [name]Caroline[/name].

I really like [name]Ivy[/name] as well. I work with a woman in her 30’s named [name]Ivy[/name] and she’s very professional and good at her job (she has long black hair and dresses immaculately). She’s the first [name]Ivy[/name] I’ve ever met so it’s easy for me to picture on a professional.

I really like [name]Caroline[/name]. Great job on selecting that name. The only names from the list that seems to fit with [name]Caroline[/name] are [name]Jocelyn[/name] and [name]Audrey[/name]. I love [name]Camille[/name] but it is too close to [name]Caroline[/name]. Here are some others to look at.

[name]Savannah[/name]
[name]Alice[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name]
[name]Annabelle[/name]
[name]Emma[/name]
[name]Margaret[/name]
[name]Emily[/name]
[name]Julia[/name]
[name]Penelope[/name]
[name]Genevieve[/name]
[name]Olivia[/name]
[name]Juliana[/name]
[name]Natalie[/name]
[name]Laurel[/name]
[name]Stella[/name]
[name]Virginia[/name]
[name]Allison[/name]
[name]Summer[/name]
[name]Maya[/name]
[name]Elise[/name]
[name]Leah[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name]
[name]Bridget[/name]

Hmm. I think [name]Audrey[/name] might go best with [name]Caroline[/name], but really, all those names are nice. I think [name]Ivy[/name] can absolutely be a professional name! I can easily picture a doctors or lawyer named [name]Ivy[/name].

I also think of…

[name]Alexandra[/name]
[name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Susanna[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name]

As some possibilities that go well with [name]Caroline[/name].

[name]Camille[/name] and [name]Ivy[/name] are two of my favorites!

I love [name]Caroline[/name] and [name]Audrey[/name]. I think they are so beautiful and classic together. I don’t find it overly popular and boring at all.
