We are pretty set on a name but I’m always looking, so my husband decided he would look too (37 weeks in). He stumbled upon [name_u]Frost[/name_u] and is now pushing for it. It’s not really an contender in my eyes though I think it’s interesting and am just looking to see others initial thoughts…
Brings to mind [name_m]Robert[/name_m] [name_u]Frost[/name_u] and the road less traveled, kind of goes along with the name. Strong and spunky I like it
I think [name_u]Frost[/name_u] is cool, like pp said it reminiscent of [name_m]Robert[/name_m] [name_u]Frost[/name_u]. Though personally I would use it as a cool middle, up front it sounds a bit chilly.
I think [name_u]Frost[/name_u] has a negative connotation. Examples: 1) The late spring frost killed the orange trees. 2) He gave me a frosty look. (Can you tell I don’t like the cold?)
like the snowman.
Should definitely only be used in the middle spot, [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
I would prefer [name_u]Frost[/name_u] in the middle spot, but it does have a strong sound that could work up front. The literal connotation could swing either way (depending on if you like references to winter).
I like [name_u]Frost[/name_u]. I hadn’t even thought of the [name_m]Robert[/name_m] [name_u]Frost[/name_u] connection, but that is a pretty good one! I had always thought of a winter’s frost, or [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_u]Frost[/name_u]. Then again, I had considered using it for the [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] ties with my sister and I, since we both have [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] names. I had seriously considered [name_m]Declan[/name_m] [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] [name_u]Frost[/name_u] (still may be–I’m not sure where I stand with my second middle on [name_m]Declan[/name_m], honestly…). I think it makes a cool middle, but I wouldn’t use it up front.
Good luck!
Oo, I like it!! I have this thing for short, spunky, word names…
I love [name_u]Frost[/name_u]! Particularly in the middle name spot to honour my favourite poet, you guess it, [name_m]Robert[/name_m] [name_u]Frost[/name_u]! He has some incredible work and I have been dreaming about [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] [name_u]Michael[/name_u] [name_u]Frost[/name_u] for quite some time now.
I love [name_u]Frost[/name_u] but only as a middle name. It is on my middle name list. [name_u]Frost[/name_u] has special meaning and also would honor my grandma that was a [name_u]December[/name_u] baby.
It works as a middle name but definitely not as a first name. It’s way too cold sounding to use as someone’s first name.
Surnames have always been used for baby boys. I think this one works just fine. I even like it, but I would personally put it in the middle.
I’d put it in the middle. It’s very handsome.
If husband likes the sound of [name_u]Frost[/name_u], perhaps he’d like
[name_m]Foster[/name_m]
[name_m]Forester[/name_m]
[name_m]Forest[/name_m]
as first names.
I like it! Agree it works much better in the middle spot, as long as his name isn’t [name_m]Jack[/name_m]
I thin [name_u]Frost[/name_u] has a cool vibe (sorry about the pun). I don’t think it really works as first name though. Middle, yeah.
Wow, more love for [name_u]Frost[/name_u] than I expected! DH is really into it…but I just can’t get there enough to change it at this point. Plus we have a nephew named [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and it just makes it seem a little silly to me. We use family names as middles so putting it in the middle spot won’t work. I’m just a little thrown that all the sudden he wants to change it! Thanks for all the feedback
I like it, though I wouldn’t be brave enough to use it.
I’d say go for it, but given kids and teasing potential it may be best in the middle spot.
isn’t that a gatorade flavor
I knew a woman named Frosty. She was the department manager for Human Resources in a large hospital. She was a dynamic person and wore it well.
I like [name_u]Frost[/name_u] for a boy. I think the Frosty the Snowman teasing is unavoidable though. But that’s not so awful.
