I’ve been going by [name_m]Liam[/name_m] for almost 2 years now, and I do like the name, however it’s so different from my given name that I’m not sure if I want to use it. The only thing that I really like about it is the meaning, and I thought having a very different name would wouldn’t be that big of a deal, but I kind of feel bad for not choosing something more similar to my given name (I don’t necessarily hate my given name either). I found the baby name generator here, which has kind of helped give me some inspiration, and I do gravitate to more of the classic/modern/90s names. I’m not a fan of the trendy names that seem to be popular today.
A few names that I’ve been considering are:
[name_u]Cody[/name_u] (top choice at the moment; besides [name_m]Liam[/name_m])
[name_m]Colin[/name_m] (I know a few [name_m]Colin[/name_m]'s, I like the name, but I’m hesitant to use it because of that)
[name_m]Caleb[/name_m] (not a fan of the religious connection to the name)
[name_u]Jesse[/name_u] (as a middle)
Also my surname is one syllable and starts with an “L”.
The names I’ve been using currently are [name_m]Liam[/name_m] [name_m]Eric[/name_m]. I love the meanings of both names, but I’m not sure if I want a name that’s very different.
