Full Name for Kite

Recently I’ve really liked the nn Kite, I think it’s cute and I like the imagery and it’s not too far off of [name_u]Kit[/name_u] which is familiar.

I don’t have many ideas for a full name to go with Kite though. Any thoughts?

For a boy, [name_m]Malachite[/name_m] has the “kite” sound in it. For a girl, maybe [name_f]Kaitlin[/name_f]? It’s not intuitive but I think it could work.

For a girl, I think any name commonly shortened to [name_f]Kate[/name_f]/Kit would work (ie [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], [name_f]Katrine[/name_f], [name_f]Katelyn[/name_f], [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f]) or maybe [name_u]Nikita[/name_u]? It has a different sound but similar letters, which is often how nicknames are.

For a boy, maybe [name_u]Keaton[/name_u]? It would be a bit of a stretch but might work?? Other than that I can’t think of any more… I agree that Kitteridge and [name_m]Malachite[/name_m] would work well.

Keightley (or other spelling) or [name_f]Kylie[/name_f]?

Boy
[name_u]Kestrel[/name_u]
[name_m]Christopher[/name_m] maybe as you get kit from [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]?
Girls
[name_f]Katrina[/name_f]
[name_f]Katia[/name_f]

I had to laugh when [name_u]Kestrel[/name_u] was suggested because Kite and [name_u]Kestrel[/name_u] are both bird names. I’m not sure if that’s common knowledge that a Kite is a bird though, since their population is not as big as it used to be.

Anyways…

For girls:
[name_f]Christina[/name_f] or [name_f]Kristina[/name_f] ([name_u]Cricket[/name_u]’s a nickname for [name_f]Christina[/name_f], so why not?)
[name_f]Kateri[/name_f] (very tied to the Native Americans)
[name_f]Kismet[/name_f]
[name_f]Katrin[/name_f]
[name_u]Katriel[/name_u]
[name_u]Kora[/name_u] or [name_f]Cora[/name_f]
[name_f]Kimora[/name_f]

For boys:
[name_m]Christopher[/name_m]
[name_u]Christian[/name_u]
Kitterick
[name_u]Dakota[/name_u] (Also very tied to Native Americans)
[name_m]Koda[/name_m] or Coda
[name_m]Malachite[/name_m] or [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] (I am stealing the suggestion and adding to it)
[name_u]Cairo[/name_u] or [name_m]Kairo[/name_m]
Chiron

I knew  that’s why I suggested it lol. I suppose you would have to really be a fan of birds to use both.
