Hey! So, I’m starting a story (because clearly I’m horrible at finishing anything), and the main character’s love interest is named [name_u]Levi[/name_u]. I’m thinking of giving him a longer name. What do you all think? Should I make the name longer, or is [name_u]Levi[/name_u] good? And if I should make it longer, do you have any full name suggestions? Thanks for any and all ideas!

. It’s possible I need more sleep.
Anyway, [name_u]Levi[/name_u] is usually a full name on its own, and nobody would think twice about it standing alone. However, I think it would be cool to have a full name too, and I’ve never thought of it that way! I think you should choose whatever you think fits the character better, but both are equally fine ideas.
Full names for [name_u]Levi[/name_u]: (some are a bit of a stretch)
Levin/Levan/Levon/Leven (these are different names, with different roots) pronounced “Leave-in”
Lieven/Lievin “Leave-in”
Levent/Levente “Leh-vent” / Leh-vent-teh”
[name_m]Kalevi[/name_m] “Kah-leh-vee”
Uolevi “Ooh-leh-vee”
[name_m]Livio[/name_m] “Lee-vyo” Maybe you could spell it Levio?
Liviu “Lee-vyooh” Leviu?
[name_m]Olivier[/name_m] “Oh-lee-vyay”
[name_m]Cleveland[/name_m]
[name_u]Leland[/name_u]

I like [name_u]Levi[/name_u] on its own but a full name could be [name_m]Leviticus[/name_m] or Levitt.

Thank you for all of these wonderful suggestions! I love them all. I think my favorites are Lieven and [name_m]Kalevi[/name_m], and I’m definitely still considering [name_u]Levi[/name_u] on its own. And, honestly, I thought of [name_m]Leviathan[/name_m], too. 
It’s definitely a consideration, too.

[name_u]Levi[/name_u] is great as a full name!! I love it and say keep it 
But if you decide to use it as a nickname, the only other name that I can think of that hasn’t ben suggested is [name_u]Oliver[/name_u]!

Okay, honestly here, I love Lieven and [name_m]Kalevi[/name_m], but wouldn’t it be hilarious if he went exclusively by [name_u]Levi[/name_u] for nearly the whole book, and then at the end his friends find out his name is [name_m]Leviathan[/name_m], and:“Leviathan? Really?”
“Shut it.”
“Leviathan? Your name is Leviathan?”
“Yeah, so?”
“So it’s epic.”
