Full name for Liesey/Lisey?

I have really come to love the nn Liesey (Lisey? [name_u]LEE[/name_u]-see) in the past couple months, and I’m wondering what name it could be a nn for? I think [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f], [name_f]Elise[/name_f], and [name_f]Lisette[/name_f] are pretty obvious choices, and I love all three names, but I’m wondering if there’s anything else out there? I think [name_f]Liselotte[/name_f] (sp?) could also work, but I’m not a huge fan.

Thanks, Berries!

Maybe: [name_f]Alisa[/name_f], [name_f]Elisabet[/name_f]/h, [name_f]Liesbeth[/name_f], [name_f]Lisbeth[/name_f], [name_f]Lisabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Lisette[/name_f], [name_f]Elisa[/name_f], [name_f]Adelisa[/name_f], [name_f]Adelis[/name_f], [name_f]Alicia[/name_f] (prn. [name_m]Ah[/name_m]-lee-see-a), [name_f]Amalisa[/name_f], [name_f]Melisande[/name_f], Vasilis and just [name_f]Liesel[/name_f] of course.
I do think other lis names could also work but those are the ones, I’d pronounce with a lees sound rather than a liss sound.

My niece is named [name_f]Ann[/name_f]-[name_f]Elesia[/name_f] (E [name_u]LEE[/name_u] SEE UH) and her nn is spelled Leesie. I can’t really think of anything else besides [name_f]Elise[/name_f] or [name_f]Elisia[/name_f].

@opheliaflora - I don’t know why I didn’t think of [name_f]Elisabet/name_f! Liesey would totally work. There’s a cute little [name_f]Alice[/name_f] I know of in [name_u]Brazil[/name_u] (where it’s pronounced ah-[name_u]LEE[/name_u]-see), and I think [name_f]Alice[/name_f] nn Liesey is adorable, but I don’t really like [name_m]AL[/name_m]-iss anymore at all, and I wouldn’t want to deal with that, especially since [name_u]Brazil[/name_u]/Portugal isn’t a huge cultural reference here. Adelise/[name_f]Adelisa[/name_f] is a good idea, too. Thanks!

Might be a stretch, but [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]? My other ideas were already mentioned. Lol

I think [name_f]Liesel[/name_f] is your best bet. Maybe Margolis or Marlise could work.

I know a Licey (prn. [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-see) whose full name is [name_f]Adelicia[/name_f] ([name_m]Add[/name_m]-eh-lee-see-uh). Other than that…[name_u]Felice[/name_u]? Coralice? Mabellise?

My name is [name_u]Lisa[/name_u] and my family has called me Lisey (never really thought about how to spell it) for most of my life. Not a terribly trendy name these days, but just to state the obvious.

I worked with an Ahnalese before, and I think all variations of that name are beautiful.

[name_f]Liesel[/name_f] was my first thought.

A bit of a stretch for some of these, but here’s a little brainstorm.

[name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_f]Elysia[/name_f]
[name_f]Callista[/name_f]
[name_f]Clarice[/name_f]
[name_f]Alissa[/name_f]

Thanks, everyone! I think, so far, [name_f]Lisette[/name_f] is still my favorite, with [name_f]Elise[/name_f] and [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] as second and third (third and second?) choices. I think I’ll have to sit on them for a bit, unless someone else has any brilliant ideas. I like [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] a lot, @zpk, but I’m not sure I can see using her up front. I have her as [name_f]Anne[/name_f]-[name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] “[name_f]Annie[/name_f]” right now…

[name_m]How[/name_m] about my name, [name_f]Annaliese[/name_f]?
