Full name for Maisie

Been sick today, and been spending a ton of time thinking about names, Maisie has always been a favourite of mine since I was eight (my parents say it is a dog name!) But after so much criticism for the last 5 or so years about the name. I feel it must be a nickname for something. What do you think it works as? Also middle name would most likely be Melissa!

  • Margot/Margaux
  • Margret
  • Maeve
  • Marguerite

[name_f]Margot[/name_f] and [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] are my favourite! I like [name_f]Margret[/name_f] but it doesn’t seem your vibe. :tulip::white_heart:

[name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Melissa[/name_f] ‘Maisie’ is great!!

[name_f]Mavis[/name_f], [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] might work?

I love [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] — and [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is sweet, too!

[name_f]May[/name_f] is my favorite way to get to [name_f]Maisie[/name_f]. 🫶🏼

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

[name_f]Maisie[/name_f] is so cute! I love it, but I do prefer it as a nn. I love [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] the most from your list, but just prefer it on its own. [name_f]Margot[/name_f] is fine, but that I like as a nn for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] mostly! [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] & [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] nn [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] totally work for me, & they’re both nice names. [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite though is [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] nn [name_f]Maisie[/name_f]. I also like [name_f]Maureen[/name_f] or [name_f]Mary[/name_f].

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

I once came across a [name_f]Mairead[/name_f] whose nn was [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], and I loved it!

I also think that if the middle name is [name_f]Melissa[/name_f], it opens up the options a bit more. Because [name_f]Melissa[/name_f] already has the M and s of [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] … something like [name_f]Amaya[/name_f] [name_f]Melissa[/name_f] could lead to [name_f]Maisie[/name_f]? [name_u]Or[/name_u] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Melissa[/name_f], called [name_f]Maisie[/name_f].

[name_u]Or[/name_u] any of the [name_f]Mary[/name_f] names:

[name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Melissa[/name_f]
[name_u]Marie[/name_u] [name_f]Melissa[/name_f]
[name_u]Marian[/name_u] [name_f]Melissa[/name_f]
[name_f]Mariana[/name_f] [name_f]Melissa[/name_f]
etc, called [name_f]Maisie[/name_f]

[name_f]Magda[/name_f] or [name_f]Margery[/name_f] would work, too.

Whaaat

[name_f]Maisie[/name_f] is perfect for standalone! And I would choose that over any of those options

If you have to have a long version I’d go traditional with [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] but [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] on its own all the way!!

I’d choose [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] as a stand-alone. But if searching for a longer name for it to be nn…I’d say I thought it was an official nn for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]? Also I voted for “Margret” on the poll but think it should be spelled “Margaret”
