Full name for nn Rory?

I really like the nickname [name]Rory[/name]. Any suggestions for a full name? I’m not a fan of [name]Aurora[/name] which is the most obvious but I’m interested in any less obvious ideas you have. I’ve thought of some (none that DH likes) but want to see what you can come up with too.

Thanks!

I love [name]Rory[/name] as well, but find [name]Aurora[/name] not quite right for me. The other options are a bit more of a stretch, but I’ve heard it for [name]Aurelia[/name], [name]Cordelia[/name] and [name]Victoria[/name].

[name]Lorelai[/name], [name]Aurore[/name], [name]Laura[/name], [name]Romilly[/name], Amoura, [name]Rowan[/name], [name]Aurelia[/name], [name]Victoria[/name]… I also love the nn [name]Rory[/name]

Found this other thread with the same question: Nameberry - Welcome to the Nameberry Forums

I love [name]Aurora[/name]! Too bad it wouldn’t work here. Have you considered [name]Lorelei[/name], [name]Victoria[/name]/[name]Vittoria[/name], [name]Rowan[/name], [name]Rosalie[/name], [name]Primrose[/name], [name]Orla[/name], [name]Nora[/name]/[name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Annora[/name], etc.? I think anything with “ro” or “or”, especially if it’s a hard “O” sound, would work just fine. I personally love the idea of [name]Eleanor[/name] nn [name]Rory[/name]. Is your daughter a [name]Gwendolen[/name]? I think [name]Gwendolen[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name] would be stunning, actually.

[name]Orielle[/name], [name]Oriella[/name], [name]Orianna[/name]?

I think that using [name]Rory[/name] as a nickname for anything besides [name]Aurora[/name] is a stretch … might as well just use the name [name]Rory[/name] straight up.

To me, [name]Rory[/name] as a nickname on a girl is similar to [name]Charlotte[/name] nn [name]Charlie[/name], etc and is different from naming a girl with the full name [name]Rory[/name]. I like the suggestions of [name]Romilly[/name], [name]Rosalie[/name], [name]Lorelei[/name]. If [name]Lorelei[/name] works for [name]Rory[/name], then I suppose other Lor- names would too - [name]Loretta[/name], [name]Lorraine[/name], etc.

Thanks for your ideas!
