I’m a fan of the comic Tank Girl. In the comic, Tank Girl’s friend is [name_u]Jet[/name_u] ([name_u]Jet[/name_u] girl). I love the name [name_u]Jet[/name_u] for a girl. It’s short and spunky, which is what I think a good nickname should be. However, I would prefer her to have a longer full name.
Any ideas on what [name_u]Jet[/name_u] could be short for?
I’m crushing on [name_f]Jennet[/name_f] a bit at the moment but I would be worried about people mispronouncing it as [name_f]Jenette[/name_f]. (I like the stress on the first syllable, I hate it on the second). So I think I would go with [name_f]Juliet[/name_f].
I know a [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] that goes by [name_u]Jet[/name_u] and I’ve thought about using [name_u]Jet[/name_u] as a nickname for [name_f]Bridget[/name_f].
I second [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] nn [name_u]Jet[/name_u]! And [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] would be cool!
There is [name_f]Janet[/name_f] and [name_f]Jetzabel[/name_f], which is a variation of [name_f]Jezebel[/name_f], but that is way more “out there” than [name_f]Juliet[/name_f].
I adore [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] nn [name_u]Jet[/name_u]. I’m usually not a [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] fan, but it’s just so lush and feminine and in contrast [name_u]Jet[/name_u] is so fun and spunky! I would love to meet a little [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] “[name_u]Jet[/name_u]”!
Didn’t see it mentioned, there’s also [name_f]Josette[/name_f], Marjetta, [name_f]Georgette[/name_f], [name_u]Paget[/name_u].
And possibly [name_f]Greta[/name_f] and [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] if you’re not too literal
