I really like the names [name_u]Kelly[/name_u]/[name_f]Kellie[/name_f] (for a girl) and [name_u]Kyle[/name_u] (for a girl or boy) and I know that they can stand on their own, but I really prefer long names with shorter nicknames. It would be great if you could give me a few ideas on names that could have [name_u]Kelly[/name_u]/[name_f]Kellie[/name_f] or [name_u]Kyle[/name_u] as a nickname!
These would work with the nn [name_u]Kelly[/name_u]-
[name_f]Kelila[/name_f]
Kellar
Mikella
Rakele/[name_f]Raquel[/name_f]/[name_f]Raquella[/name_f]
These possibly would work, a bit more of a stretch maybe-
[name_f]Jackeline[/name_f]
[name_u]Blakely[/name_u]
If you’d spell it [name_f]Callie[/name_f], it gives you more and better options imo-
[name_f]Calla[/name_f]
[name_f]Calandra[/name_f]
[name_f]Calanthe[/name_f]
[name_f]Caledonia[/name_f]
[name_f]Callista[/name_f]
[name_u]Calypso[/name_u]
[name_f]Calliope[/name_f]
For [name_u]Kyle[/name_u] its even harder-
[name_f]Akylah[/name_f]
[name_f]Kylilah[/name_f]
[name_u]Kimberly[/name_u] nn [name_u]Kyle[/name_u]
[name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m] nn [name_u]Kyle[/name_u]
I feel like there could be better options that I’m missing. But alp the best for now!
For [name_u]Kelly[/name_u], you could try hyphenating? [name_u]Kelly[/name_u]-[name_f]Anne[/name_f], [name_u]Kelly[/name_u]-[name_f]May[/name_f], [name_u]Kelly[/name_u]-[name_f]Marie[/name_f], [name_u]Kelly[/name_u]-[name_u]Jo[/name_u], etc.
Thank you all for your suggestions so far!!
Unfortunately I cant use [name_f]Callie[/name_f], it would sound weird considering I come from a Greek family and [name_f]Callie[/name_f] (κάλη) is a word we still use here
[name_u]Kelly[/name_u]:
[name_f]Kelila[/name_f]/[name_f]Kelilah[/name_f]
[name_f]Kellina[/name_f]
Kellula/[name_f]Kelula[/name_f]/[name_f]Kelulah[/name_f]
and a madeup name Keluna/Kaluna/Calluna/Caluna. Fun fact: Calluna is the scientific name for the [name_f]Heather[/name_f] plant.
[name_u]Kyle[/name_u]:
[name_f]Kylie[/name_f]
[name_f]Kilala[/name_f]
[name_f]Kilea[/name_f]
[name_m]Killian[/name_m]
[name_f]Kyla[/name_f]
[name_m]Kyler[/name_m]
[name_f]Kylilah[/name_f]
My favorites for [name_u]Kelly[/name_u] are Calluna/Kaluna. My favorites for [name_u]Kyle[/name_u] are [name_f]Kyla[/name_f] and [name_f]Kilea[/name_f] (pronounced [name_m]Ky[/name_m]-lee-uh).
Any more suggestions?
My current favorite is [name_f]Jackeline[/name_f] nn [name_f]Kellie[/name_f]
