This is a topic I thought of, but not something I’m trying to work around for naming a kid.
My grandmother’s best friend from childhood into old age (even though they lived a world apart for many years!) had the nickname “[name]Izzy[/name].” [name]Ever[/name] since I was a little girl I always loved the name. No idea why, but the name sticks out so much to me. Maybe because she was like a third grandmother or maybe just because it’s a spunky little nickname.
[name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]Isabelle[/name]/[name]Isabella[/name] are the obvious fn choices for nn [name]Izzy[/name]…what are other full names you can think of that would fit [name]Izzy[/name]?
I personally like [name]Isadore[/name]/[name]Isadora[/name] better than [name]Isabelle[/name]/a
Though it may be a stretch a lot of "Ez/Es names come to mind, [name]Esme[/name], [name]Esperanza[/name], [name]Esmeralda[/name], etc. I know an [name]Esperanza[/name] that goes by [name]Essie[/name] (Pron. S-E) so I can see [name]Izzy[/name] also coming from that.
For blade’s ends in -is/-iz theory I’ll add [name]Iris[/name] and [name]Beatriz[/name] (granted in Spanish the iz is eese, but by looks it could become [name]Izzy[/name]).
