Full names Kit can be short for?

I really like [name_m]Kit[/name_m], but I’m not 100% sold on it as a full name. Besides Christopher/Kristopher, does anyone know of any other names that it could be a nickname for?

Thank you for your time!

[name_m]Atticus[/name_m] and [name_m]Beckett[/name_m]!

I think it could work as a full name as it’s starting to become more used and heard of

Are you looking to use it specifically as a boys name because I have heard of [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] nickname [name_m]Kit[/name_m] / [name_f]Kitty[/name_f] and I think it works for a girl!

Other boy names options that can work for [name_m]Kit[/name_m]

[name_m]Calisto[/name_m]
[name_m]Carleton[/name_m] / [name_m]Carlton[/name_m]
[name_m]Carson[/name_m] / [name_m]Karson[/name_m]
[name_m]Carsten[/name_m]
[name_m]Carter[/name_m] / [name_m]Karter[/name_m]
[name_m]Catesby[/name_m] (Kit Harrington’s middle name)
[name_m]Charles[/name_m]
[name_m]Christian[/name_m] / [name_m]Kristian[/name_m]
[name_m]Christoph[/name_m] / Kristoph / [name_m]Kristof[/name_m]
[name_m]Cillian[/name_m]
[name_m]Clayton[/name_m]
[name_m]Clement[/name_m]
[name_m]Colbert[/name_m]
[name_m]Colter[/name_m] / [name_m]Kolter[/name_m]
[name_m]Colton[/name_m] / [name_m]Kolton[/name_m]
[name_m]Corbett[/name_m]
[name_m]Corbin[/name_m] / [name_m]Korbin[/name_m]
[name_m]Cortland[/name_m]
[name_m]Curtis[/name_m] / [name_m]Kurtis[/name_m]
[name_m]Keating[/name_m]
[name_m]Keaton[/name_m]
[name_m]Kelton[/name_m]
[name_m]Kennett[/name_m]
[name_m]Kenton[/name_m]
[name_m]Kester[/name_m]
[name_m]Kingston[/name_m]
McAllister
[name_m]Risto[/name_m]
[name_m]Topher[/name_m]

[name_m]Atlas[/name_m] also works for the meaning (bearer of the heavens) as [name_m]Kit[/name_m] means bearer of [name_m]Christ[/name_m]

Another option could be using the initials KIT so you could do [name_m]Kade[/name_m] [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] or something to that extent

Other girl name options could be

[name_f]Calista[/name_f] / [name_f]Callista[/name_f] / [name_f]Kalista[/name_f] / [name_f]Kallista[/name_f]
[name_f]Catrina[/name_f] / [name_f]Katrina[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Courtney[/name_f]
[name_f]Katelyn[/name_f] (in any of its varieties of spellings)
[name_f]Kiersten[/name_f]
[name_m]Kristan[/name_m] / [name_f]Kristen[/name_f]

If you love it as is and can’t find anything that compares I think it’s great just to use [name_m]Kit[/name_m] alone. If you really want a longer name that isn’t Christopher/Kristopher I think there’s so many options that could work no matter how creative they are

I think the Nameberry hivemind has devoted countless hours to this subject!

[name_f]My[/name_f] personal favorites that have not yet been mentioned are [name_m]Kenneth[/name_m] and [name_f]Katarina[/name_f].

I personally prefer [name_m]Kit[/name_m] on its own. But I actually think you could use most K names and it could work as like a “pet name/endearment”.

I like [name_m]Killian[/name_m] nn “Kit”

I love it on it’s own

I have [name_m]Kit[/name_m] on my list as a nickname for the quirky/cool [name_f]Comet[/name_f]

[name_m]Atticus[/name_m] and [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] were my first ideas too. I love [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] nn [name_m]Beck[/name_m], but [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] nn [name_m]Kit[/name_m] is equally cute! I think [name_m]Christian[/name_m] could also work just as well as [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]. There’s also place names [name_m]Kittery[/name_m] or Kittrell?

Good luck!
