I’ve just been thinking - what would you name your children if you were famous? Would you use your GPs/ more out there names or would you go more classic and surprise the world that way?
i think i’d still name my kids the same. they’ll still have to live with their names, and being famous won’t change my tastes. i would still have a lily & a peter regardless of how famous i am
Honestly, i’d give them crazy names, that normal people cant name their children.
Like
[name_u]Cricket[/name_u] [name_u]Beau[/name_u]
Flicker [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
Boat [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Poet[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]
Agreed.

Most of my names have meaning, but don’t completely conform to “traditional” standards. I also love nature names. I would use both now, so I can’t imagine changing anything if I were famous. The biggest changes would happen if my SO didn’t like my names, but not because of a status change.
i would still use hadley wren for my little girl! for my boy however i think i would use calloway knox. i love that name so much but it sounds too much like a movie characters name or something to be actually be used. this would be the perfect opportunity to use it!
i think first name wise i’d stick with my usual favourites but i might be a little braver in the middle spot and use a GP
this may be indicative of the fact that i just really, really would prefer not to be famous (), but i think my name choices would be pretty much the same! i’d be apprehensive about drawing even more attention to my family with braver picks. zero judgment at all towards others, because i love coming across more unexpected/“out there” names–just truly my personal preference that i don’t like being in the spotlight!
[name_m]Just[/name_m] wanna add that personally I’d also hate to be famous but I think I’d also perhaps take the opportunity to use names I love that people find it hard to pronounce because people would hear it said so often that they probably wouldn’t have as many issues throughout their life with mispronunciation !
This gives me life haha
I’ve actually known someone named Cricket. It was her nickname, but it’s the only name most people know her by. The only reason I knew her full name was I was the site supervisor and I had to check her in for field work. To do so, I had to go by her legal name. She had thought about legally changing it, but it was more hassle than she wanted to deal with.
I’d definitely use the same names.
^ I agree with this exactly!
I think I would use the same names. It’s possible I would be slightly braver with middle names, but I still don’t think I would change it much.
I see I’m in the minority but my names would be quite different if I were famous— I would be much braver !! [name_f]My[/name_f] actual naming style is rather mild, which isn’t at all indicated by my current UC! I think I’d use a lot of the combos I have there right now more readily if I were famous than not. A little [name_u]September[/name_u] [name_m]Lazarus[/name_m] [name_u]Clove[/name_u] would be wonderful!
that said. [name_m]Ivan[/name_m] [name_m]Aloysius[/name_m] Windowsill, everybody. I think I would use [name_m]Ivan[/name_m] [name_m]Aloysius[/name_m] Windowsill
i would give my children the same names that i would anyway … which may be reasonably crazy, depending on who you ask.
please become famous so you can use this name hahah
I think the only thing I would change is I might use two middle names instead of one just to feel fun and fancy.
I’d just use my favorites!
Wonderwall and Everlong as middles. I would definitely go for [name_m]Napoleon[/name_m]. And Rabbit.
I’ll do my best
This is a fun thought to have! Although the famous lifestyle has never appealed to me, I think I’d jump on the chance to use some of the names I just think go too far into guilty pleasure territory or middle name only territory, as first names. Think [name_u]Dandelion[/name_u], Sassafras, [name_u]Boreal[/name_u] & [name_u]Bravery[/name_u].
