I was just perusing my large lists (the ones with names I love but wouldn’t necessarily use for whatever reason, as well as the names I’m actually considering, and guilty pleasure names). So I was looking, and I realized that I have all four Pevensie children’s names from the [name_m]Lion[/name_m], the Witch, and the Wardrobe ([name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Susan[/name_f], [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], and [name_m]Peter[/name_m]), and I also have Pevensie itself as a possible girl’s name! I know the names were put on the lists at different times and I wasn’t even have lists started when I began reading all the series. I haven’t even finished reading all of the [name_f]Narnia[/name_f] books and picked most of the names because I like them for other reasons besides their literary characters. I do have [name_f]Susan[/name_f] on the list because she was named [name_f]Susan[/name_f] the Gentle and I love that she’s an archer!
What funny coincidences have you found on your lists? Did you discover that you liked a certain style of name after finding a connection you didn’t see before?
I’ve got a [name_f]Narnia[/name_f] combo name, [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] (mn 1) [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], and I really want it to have a literary theme, so it’s turned into a bit of a gp, [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] [name_m]Edmund[/name_m]. [name_f]Love[/name_f] the combo, but [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] is so distinctive! I’ve considered [name_f]Indigo[/name_f] (another way less well known book character) as a mn, and [name_u]Dorian[/name_u] ([name_u]Dorian[/name_u] [name_u]Gray[/name_u]) but a bit too much of the -ian sound with this one, and I really like [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] as a second mn. I’ve even considered having 3 mn, but that’s getting ridiculous. Either way, I love my gp so much more! Sorry for the ramble :P.
I’m a [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] has been my favourite boy name for as long as I can remember. I had [name_m]Peter[/name_m] and [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] on my list too at one point and then I realized what was happening and I ended up nixing them.
I have a number for [name_u]Marian[/name_u] devotional names on my list, despite being atheist… I guess that’s pretty weird.
