[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! I’ve recently rebuilt my UC (used to change my nb signature every month but the UC feels a bit more permanent). I feel like my girl name list has been workshopped over many years until I thought all the names had the “golden, self-assured, vintage, and uncommon” vibe I wanted. But my boy list just isn’t quite right. When I did this same thread on the girls’ forum I got a lot of great suggestions and made a bunch of changes so I’m hoping that I can do the same thing for the boys’ list. If it’s helpful you can look at my girls’ list and give suggestions based on those as well? I don’t know, but I’m sure the list will be better developed with your help! Thank you so much in advance!!

I think most of your current combos work very well and fit into that vintage/uncommon category that your girls do. The only ones I think could use some mixing are [name_m]Otto[/name_m] [name_u]Willoughby[/name_u] and [name_m]Silas[/name_m] [name_m]Isidore[/name_m]. I’m not loving the repeating O sounds in the former, and the latter sounds a little too hissy, at least in that order. ([name_m]Isidore[/name_m] [name_m]Silas[/name_m] would sound fine, imo.)

I really hadn’t thought of the recurring O in [name_m]Otto[/name_m] [name_u]Willoughby[/name_u] (I think I was saying it will-uh-bee) and then the Ss of [name_m]Silas[/name_m] [name_m]Isidore[/name_m]. I also really like your suggestions of [name_m]Linus[/name_m], [name_m]Calvin[/name_m] (my great-grandfather’s name!), and [name_m]Bram[/name_m] (love this name but I keep taking it off of my list because I know someone with the name… we’ll see if I still know them in 5-10 years haha). [name_m]Walter[/name_m], [name_m]Alfred[/name_m], and [name_u]Gus[/name_u] are really growing on me as well. And I used to love the name [name_u]Elias[/name_u] but then I found out I was pronouncing it in a very American way and can’t decide what pronunciation would be best.
@Greyblue You’re always so helpful! I’m definitely reworking my combos. I love [name_m]Cormac[/name_m] [name_m]Fletcher[/name_m] & [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] [name_m]Raphael[/name_m]! I typically stay away from -son names but [name_m]Orson[/name_m] is lovely… and then I looked up the meaning of [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] and I love that too. I had never thought of [name_m]Clarence[/name_m] or [name_m]Alasdair[/name_m] before but they’re both so up my alley:)
