I’ve known three Gabriellas. One went by [name_u]Gabby[/name_u], one one went interchangeably between [name_u]Gabby[/name_u] and [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f], and one went by [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f] exclusively
I don’t think it would be automatic but i think people would hear it and think it makes sense
Gabrielle is sweet but I prefer [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f]
I think it could still work

I know numerous [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f]’s, and some went by [name_u]Gabby[/name_u]/Gabi, while others went by just [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f]. I believe most people would call them [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f] unless stated otherwise, so it seems likely that [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f] would be called by her full name if she wishes.
3. Would the nickname [name_f]Bria[/name_f] be a natural nickname for [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f]?

[name_f]My[/name_f] childhood best friend was named [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] and I have negative associations with my friend now and it’s a bit hard to ignore them. I do like the ending “elle” part though.
5. Would it be too much of a stretch for the nickname [name_f]Bria[/name_f] to be short for [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] (no A at end).
A tiny bit of a stretch, but still works just fine.

I think [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f] is beautiful and elegant.
I know a [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f], and she goes by her full name. Most [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f]/Gabriella’s I encounter go by [name_u]Gabby[/name_u], though. Despite this, I dont think a nickname is necessary.
Totally, and [name_f]Bria[/name_f] is super fun and cute!
Similar as [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f], but I like [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] better.
It still works.
I like the full name on its own best, but I like [name_f]Bree[/name_f] and [name_f]Bria[/name_f].
[name_f]Gabriella[/name_f] is a very pretty name and it’s not common (at my school).
[name_f]Gabriella[/name_f] could be called by her full name fine since I’ve met some people that have long names and get called by them fine. A girl at my school named [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f]/a goes by [name_u]Gabby[/name_u].
It would not be a “natural nickname” but she could be called that since you can clearly see where you get it from.
[name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] is pretty as [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f] is but seem’s a little more prim(ish) to me personally.
It would be because you can’t see it as clearly as you can [name_f]Bria[/name_f]-[name_f]Gabriella[/name_f].
[name_f]My[/name_f] personal favorite nickname for [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] is [name_f]Brielle[/name_f] because it’s part of the name but not every [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] is called that like [name_u]Gabby[/name_u].
I like [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f]. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though it’s four syllables, it somehow still seems fairly uncomplicated. It’s beautiful and has warm, fun vibes.
I know an adult with this name who introduces herself as [name_u]Gabby[/name_u], so that’s what we call her. I knew a two year old with the name and she was always [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f] as that’s how her parents introduced her and how they always referred to her.
I haven’t heard as [name_u]Briar[/name_u] as a nn for [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f] so I don’t find it intuitive but it’s definitely plausible!
I have a slight preference for [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] as I find it more elegent and [name_u]French[/name_u] names like [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] are my thing (or one of my things)!
Not too much of a stretch, no.
Elle would be my favourite, followed by [name_f]Brielle[/name_f], due to previously stated penchant for [name_u]French[/name_u] vibes!
I’m a [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] and I’ve managed to avoid the [name_u]Gabby[/name_u] nickname most of my life (people do try though). [name_f]My[/name_f] family call me [name_m]Gab[/name_m] and my friends call me [name_f]Elle[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Bria[/name_f] is a bit of a stretch but [name_f]Bree[/name_f] might be more intuitive? [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f] very naturally lends to the nickname [name_f]Ella[/name_f] as well. I like the look of [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] better, but I also like it when people call me [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f], feels very European haha.
