Gaelic names--HELP with pn and meanings!

A few years ago I came across a Gaelic/Celtic/Irish list of names. I loved [name]Saoirse[/name] (freedom), but there were other names I liked-- Laoise pn [name]LEE[/name]-sha (?meaning?), one I don’t remember how to pronounce Laisaoir (flame), and Saorla pn SAIR-la(?meaning?)

Can anyone help me with those names pn/meaning? And I welcome any other Gaelic suggestions.

[name]Saoirse[/name] pron. (seer sha) is the only name from your posting that I can find.

This site provides the best name information overall. I gave you the Gaelic names list address:

I hope that helps.

My name is Laoise. The name Laoise means ‘famous warrior’ ,as you said it is an Irish name and when translated into English it becomes the name [name]Louise[/name]
I hope you found this helpful

[name]Caoimhe[/name]- keeva, beautiful and kind
[name]Aoibhe[/name]- eeva, beauty
[name]Ide[/name]- eeda, thirst
[name]Eilidh[/name]- aylee, form of eleanor
Brigh- bree, power
[name]Eithne[/name]- enya, kernel

this is a great site for finding accurate meanings
behind the name

You can listen to the names being pronounced by an Irish gentleman (author [name]Frank[/name] McCourt)
