Galilee

I’m liking this name but curious how you all think it’s trending popularity wise? I hear it more in forums and the like now, do you think its going to explode in popularity, sort of like [name_u]Genesis[/name_u]?

I feel like [name_f]Galilee[/name_f] is less likely to be as popular as [name_u]Genesis[/name_u]. Mainly because [name_u]Genesis[/name_u], while it does have a strong religious feel, is a word outside of religion, so could appeal to a wider crowd.

With that being said though, it does have an appealing sound, so you never know…

I don’t think it will explode in terms of popularity. Only 46 girls were given the name in 2019 (ranking in the 3000s).

I can see it gaining more usage, but even then I don’t think it will become popular. It’s sweet and has the right sounds, but it has a long way to go to before it’s even well-known, let alone popular.

I think unless it is used by a celebrity or in a TV show or something similar, it won’t see a massive gain in popularity.

It’s lovely. I can see it increasing in popularity, but not nearly as much as [name_u]Genesis[/name_u].

I definitely agree with the comments others have made. It’s on the rise, however I don’t think it’s going to go anywhere near the top 100, at least in the foreseeable future! If you named your daughter [name_f]Galilee[/name_f], it’s very likely that she’d never meet another person with her name.

I like [name_f]Galilee[/name_f]. [name_f]Galilea[/name_f] is also lovely. I can’t see it getting very popular (at least not anytime soon). I think it will remain an unconventional choice. [name_u]Genesis[/name_u] had been trending in the US Top 1000 for twenty years before it reached the top 100.

Galilee is gorgeous, I don’t think it’ll explode in popularity at all tbh. It’s currently pretty rare!

I don’t think it will become popular. Many people don’t even like it.

It’s on the rise, but I don’t think it will be wildly popular.

Galilee is very pretty and I like the flow!

I’ve been in love with [name_f]Galilee[/name_f] for probably ten years now and have never met one, or even heard of one, in real life. I can’t imagine it will gain too much mainstream attention–to me, its biblical roots are too pronounced for that. I love the nickname Lilee/Lily. It’s such a striking, gorgeous name.

Great Biblical roots and also has a nice sound. I think it’s a pretty name.
