Okay, this week I got to thinking about the name [name_f]Gemma[/name_f]. It used to be on my list, and now I’m reconsidering adding it back. [name_u]Haven[/name_u]'t even pitched it to the hubby yet, but am looking for opinions on [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] and some imagery that you berries think of.
It’s a pretty and very feminine name. [name_f]My[/name_f] sister-in-law will name her daughter [name_f]Gemma[/name_f], she’s still looking for a middle name. I love it!
[name_f]My[/name_f] name is [name_f]Gemma[/name_f]. I like my name. Most people pronounce it correctly, though I have been called [name_f]Jenna[/name_f] and [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] a number of times. You will always have to spell it (is that [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] with a J or a G?), but that’s par for the course these days with all the different spellings of names.
[name_f]Gemma[/name_f] likes to play dress-up but also loves keeping up with all the neighborhood boys. She is very sweet and kind. She enjoys helping her neighbors. You can find her in the kitchen baking with mom and grandma (and sneaking spoonfuls of cookie dough). She is definitely a daddy’s girl. At the end of the day you will find them both cuddled on the couch reading out-loud the next few chapters of their current read.
I love it. It feels somewhat unexpected, yet also completely unpretentious. It’s down-to-earth, feminine, and seems like it will age well. It’s like a more interesting spin on the girl-next-door name.
As always the imagery and opinions you all provide rock! I definitely am going to be discussing [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] with the hubby because I think if this baby is a girl it could be the right choice for us.
