Thoughts on [name_f]Gemma[/name_f]? I’ve been trying to expand my list a little, and this is the only one I’ve really come across that I like. I don’t know that I like [name_f]Gem[/name_f] or [name_f]Gemmy[/name_f] as nicknames, but [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] is only two syllables so maybe we could get away with not having one (this is a concern for me because EVERYONE in my family has a nickname). Also I worry that she’d get the wrong pronunciation, but I don’t like the [name_f]Jemma[/name_f] spelling. I live in the U.S. but feel like I haven’t seen this name much, although I know it’s getting more common.
My other girls names are [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], [name_f]Marceline[/name_f], and [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] right now. Last name is McBeal. I’m thinking about possibly combining it with [name_f]Marceline[/name_f]…

I think if you love the name [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] that much go for it. I had a friend named [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] and she was great fun we nicknamed her [name_f]Gem[/name_f]. If I had to pick a middle name for [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] it would be [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. Good luck!
I quite like [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] but like you don’t like it shortened or like the [name_f]Jemma[/name_f] spelling.
