Gender dispute: Emerson

I stand by it being a boys name due to the “[name]Son[/name] of” meaning. I can see the feminine side, but oh well. It’s a boys name, not unisex.

Loving all the discussion here  i’m glad to see that pretty much everyone agrees it’s a boy name and even if they see it as unisex they feel it’s more for boys in the long run. feel free to add anything!!

I think all of the ‘son’ names sound better on boys. I know many little girls named [name]Maddison[/name], [name]Addison[/name], [name]Allison[/name] and [name]Emerson[/name] but I also know older boys with the names [name]Maddison[/name], [name]Edison[/name], and [name]Emerson[/name] and they just sound more masculine than feminine.
