[name]Valencia[/name]
[name]Waverly[/name]
[name]Winter[/name]
[name]Snow[/name]

I am obviously having a hard time narrowing down what I want, so any suggestions are more than welcome.

[name]Eleanor[/name] is super classic, canā€™t go wrong there! I really like [name]Waverly[/name], it is unique but still feminine and cool. But to be honest, [name]Narcissa[/name] reminds me of the word, ā€œnarcissisticā€. [name]Hope[/name] that helps!!

My favorites are:

[name]Adelaide[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Jocelyn[/name]

All gorgeous names. I love the idea of [name]Snow[/name] as a mn. Something like [name]Jocelyn[/name] [name]Snow[/name] sounds lovely.

My favorites are:

[name]Adelaide[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Jocelyn[/name]

All gorgeous names. I love the idea of [name]Snow[/name] as a mn. Something like [name]Jocelyn[/name] [name]Snow[/name] sounds lovely.

Thanks so far! I love [name]Snow[/name] as a middlename.

I like [name]Eleanor[/name] a lot but my concern is her initials would be E.Z, which is pretty terrible for a girl to deal with. Same goes for any E name.

I like:
[name]Annika[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Adelaide[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name]
[name]Annaliese[/name]
[name]Katarina[/name]

The rest are either totally NMS or really out there for me.

My favorites are
[name]Annika[/name]
[name]Odessa[/name]
[name]Annaliese[/name]
[name]Coral[/name]
[name]Katarina[/name]

The others strike me as either dated or very old-fashioned (not in a neat vintage-y way), or a little too ā€œout thereā€ for me.

Very usable:
[name]Annika[/name] (ahn-ih-ka) -
[name]Jocelyn[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Adelaide[/name]
[name]Beatrice[/name] -
[name]Annaliese[/name] - seems to be some pronunciation debate about this. I say it [name]Ah[/name]-nuh-lee-za.
[name]Alannah[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name]
[name]Katarina[/name]
[name]Aspen[/name] - teasing potential with first syllable ass but still usable I think.

Unusual, but certanily usable.
[name]Odessa[/name]
[name]Amabel[/name] - probable confusion with [name]Annabel[/name].
[name]Calantha[/name]
[name]Calandra[/name]
[name]Avalon[/name]
[name]Coral[/name] - I like [name]Coralie[/name] better.
[name]Valencia[/name]
[name]Athalia[/name] I prefer [name]Thalia[/name] ([name]Talia[/name]).
[name]Brigitta[/name] - I like it pn bri-[name]GEE[/name]-ta. People may think itā€™s bridg-itta.
[name]Corisande[/name] (cor-ih-sahnd) I kind of like this.
[name]Winter[/name]
[name]Waverly[/name]

Too out there for me:
[name]Narcissa[/name] - too close to narcissist.
[name]Vesper[/name]
[name]Sonnet[/name]
[name]Jubilee[/name] - I know of a physician called this.
[name]Amoret[/name] - not sure if I should say [name]Amoret[/name] or Amoray.
[name]Calypso[/name]
[name]Merrigan[/name] -
[name]Snow[/name] - maybe as a middle name.

My favorites on your list:
[name]Corisande[/name]
[name]Annika[/name] (ahn-ih-ka)
[name]Amabel[/name]
[name]Calantha[/name]
[name]Calandra[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Brigitta[/name]
[name]Odessa[/name]
[name]Alannah[/name]
[name]Annaliese[/name]
[name]Katarina[/name]
[name]Valencia[/name]

[name]Eleanor[/name] automatically stood out to me! I absolutely love her right now. I also really like [name]Sonnet[/name] (love [name]Sonata[/name], too!), [name]Vesper[/name], [name]Annika[/name], [name]Adelaide[/name], [name]Alannah[/name], [name]Anneliese[/name], [name]Jocelyn[/name], [name]Waverly[/name], and [name]Winter[/name]. Have you considered [name]Aurora[/name]? I would think that would fit well with these quite well.

What about:

[name]Adelaide[/name] ā€“ never liked this name. For some reason it makes me think of Marmalade
[name]Beatrice[/name] ā€“ Really like this one. Classic and beautiful
[name]Daphne[/name] ā€“ I love it and I love the mythological connection, but I canā€™t picture it one a grown woman
[name]Odessa[/name] ā€“ [name]LOVE[/name]

[name]Alannah[/name] ā€“ very pretty, soft sound. Really like

[name]Valencia[/name] ā€“ so pretty and classy sounding

[name]Snow[/name] ā€“ I like this SO much better than [name]Winter[/name]. So pretty and soft. [name]Love[/name] it for a middle name

These used to be my combos:

[name]Narcissa[/name] [name]Rainbow[/name]
[name]Avalon[/name] Firebird
[name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Moon[/name]

[name]Athalia[/name] - I like it, very aristocratic sounding.
[name]Narcissa[/name] - I couldnā€™t get over ā€œnarcissismā€ myself, but I like the sound.
[name]Corisande[/name] - Eh, I like the idea but it sounds kinda over the top for me.
[name]Vesper[/name] - I like this one but it does remind me of [name]Vespa[/name] scooters.
[name]Sonnet[/name] - Makes me think ā€œbonnetā€ instantly.
[name]Annika[/name] - Iā€™m not a fan of any names with the AHN- beginning sound, it sounds like youā€™re trying too hard.
[name]Jubilee[/name] - Iā€™m from the south, so when I hear this name is makes me think of church and overly religious people.
[name]Amabel[/name] - I love this name, so pretty and dainty. Makes me think of a doll.
[name]Calantha[/name] - Okay, very botanical sounding.
[name]Amoret[/name] - [name]Love[/name] it, it reminds me of vampires for some reason. A book or movie maybe?
[name]Calandra[/name] - I actually knew a girl in high school with this name, I always thought it was different and unique.
[name]Calypso[/name] - [name]Love[/name] it, I love any girl name that ends in -o though. Very exotic, tropical islands instantly comes to mind.
[name]Avalon[/name] - [name]Love[/name], classically beautiful.
[name]Merrigan[/name] - Sounds kinda trendy, I would just use [name]Morgan[/name].
[name]Eleanor[/name] - [name]Love[/name] it, I know a 9 year old named [name]Eleanor[/name] and itā€™s very refreshing.
[name]Brigitta[/name] - Really donā€™t like this one, I just donā€™t like the sound.
[name]Adelaide[/name] - Never liked this name, the nn [name]Addie[/name] is so cutesy almost in a sickening way.
[name]Beatrice[/name] - Alright, I would like it as a middle name.
[name]Daphne[/name] - Does remind me of Scooby Doo I have to admit, but I still like it.
[name]Odessa[/name] - I like this one a lot, very feminine.
[name]Aspen[/name] - Not a fan of any name beginning with the As- sound.
[name]Alannah[/name] - Hate it, every girl Iā€™ve met named [name]Alannah[/name] was mean and rude so I have a negative image of it.
[name]Annaliese[/name] - Itā€™s alright, very [name]German[/name] sounding.
[name]Coral[/name] - Cute, makes me think of Finding [name]Nemo[/name] though.
[name]Jocelyn[/name] - I have a negative image with this one too, I know a absolutely horrible 5 year old [name]Jocelyn[/name]. Such a brat.
[name]Katarina[/name] - Pretty, makes me think of the Russian gymnast.
[name]Valencia[/name] - Oranges.
[name]Waverly[/name] - The baby from the [name]Princess[/name] [name]Bride[/name], I love that connection but I canā€™t bring myself to like it.
[name]Winter[/name] - Nice, but it does strike me as cold and would make me think the parents were Goth.
[name]Snow[/name] - Would love as a middle name, actually ever since I saw ā€œMirror, Mirrorā€ and they called [name]Snow[/name] White just [name]Snow[/name] itā€™s growing on me.

[name]Hope[/name] that helped in some way!

So many great replies!!! I love that my old favorites are getting some love, those being [name]Odessa[/name] and [name]Corisande[/name], someone pointed out that [name]Corisande[/name] sounds over the top, and thatā€™s kind of where my feelings grew to as well, Iā€™m not sure if I can saddle a little girl with such a big name. Despite having the nickname of Coris (said like Chorus) in place, Iā€™m still really on the fence. I love the name, but it might just be too much name. [name]Odessa[/name], I still love, but my Fiance isnā€™t sure about A endings sounding right with his last name [name]Zack[/name]-R-uck, and I am starting to agree with him on that point. Opinions?

I am also loving the love for [name]Calypso[/name], which has been my absolute favorite for almost 8 years!!! But again, Iā€™m not sure I can saddle a daughter with this name, itā€™s much more of a guilty pleasure that I wish wish wish I had the courage to use, but probably never will.
Canā€™t use [name]Morgan[/name] instead of [name]Merrigan[/name], I also love [name]Morrigan[/name], but Iā€™m starting to think [name]Merrigan[/name] might be out too, unless she goes specifically by [name]Merri[/name], (which is super cutesy), I only have two blood related cousins on my dads side, and one of them named his daughter [name]Morgan[/name], ([name]Sister[/name] is [name]Meredith[/name], cute sibset!!!) just too close for comfort.

I would be pronounce [name]Brigitta[/name] like [name]Bri[/name]-gee-ta, or however, like in the sound of music. Fiance thinks [name]Bridget[/name] is an ā€˜old lady nameā€™. Same with [name]Beatrice[/name] :frowning: Heā€™s not opposed to [name]Daphne[/name] though, however, Iā€™m am having difficulties picturing it on a baby, or child.

Not sure about [name]Amabel[/name] still, Fiance thinks it sounds like (his words) ā€œA Bastardization of [name]Annabel[/name]ā€, but I informed him itā€™s a real name in itā€™s own right.
I have also loved [name]Adelaide[/name] for several years, due to a song ([name]Adelaide[/name] by Anberlin), but with itā€™s current Celebbaby status, with a star Iā€™m not too fond of, Iā€™m not sure I want to use it anymore.

[name]Lori[/name]-[name]Johnson[/name] - You rated [name]Athalia[/name] pretty high, in itā€™s description, it says something about it not being great in a biblical sense, now, Iā€™m not terribly religious, so I have zero idea who this biblical [name]Athalia[/name] is, and I can see from your signature, that you might know better than I, would naming a baby [name]Athalia[/name] be a terrible idea because of this? Or because you rated it so high, is it not very well known? I donā€™t want anyone with a religious background hearing the name and being appalled, much like with [name]Jezebel[/name] and similar names.

[name]Vesper[/name] - I totally forgot about [name]Vespa[/name] scooters, I always think [name]Vesper[/name] from Spaceballs!!! Possibly not a better referenceā€¦ haha

Still no verdict on the Initials E.Z???

Iā€™m also not 100% sure if [name]Amoret[/name] is said Amor-ette or Am-or-ay? Like [name]Vionnet[/name] is [name]Vi[/name]-oh-nay. Thoughts? I always said Am-or-ette.

I really want something feminine but not frilly, possibly with a great meaning, (part of the reason I love [name]Valencia[/name]) and a little whimsical sounding. And uncommon, obviously haha, not something youā€™d hear everyday, I want a wow name! Something that will cause people to be like ā€˜oh my thatā€™s pretty!ā€™ not ā€˜oh my thatā€™s pretty weirdā€™

[name]Athalia[/name] - I prefer [name]Thalia[/name]
[name]Narcissa[/name] - [name]Don[/name]'t like. I just think of narcissistic
[name]Corisande[/name] (cor-ih-sahnd) - I like how it looks, it has a very regal, elegant image to me. However, I think itā€™s a little unaccessible.
[name]Vesper[/name] - this is neatā€¦I like it!
[name]Sonnet[/name]ā€¦better as a middle
[name]Annika[/name] (ahn-ih-ka)ā€¦love this, underused but feminine and lovely
[name]Jubilee[/name]ā€¦donā€™t like, reminds me at once of Ju-Jube candies and hillbillies
[name]Amabel[/name]ā€¦I like this a lot more than [name]Annabel[/name]
[name]Calantha[/name]ā€¦very different, would be great to honour a [name]Samantha[/name]
[name]Amoret[/name]ā€¦just okay,
[name]Calandra[/name]ā€¦I like [name]Cassandra[/name] better
[name]Calypso[/name]ā€¦will be shortened to [name]Caly[/name].
[name]Avalon[/name]ā€¦just another ā€œ[name]Ava[/name]ā€¦ā€
[name]Merrigan[/name]ā€¦I like [name]Merryn[/name] or [name]Marin[/name] or [name]Morgan[/name] better
[name]Eleanor[/name]ā€¦I think this name is truly beautiful
[name]Brigitta[/name]ā€¦I like this much more than [name]Bridget[/name]. Reminds me of the Sound of [name]Music[/name]!
[name]Adelaide[/name]ā€¦another personal favourite. So lovely.
[name]Beatrice[/name]ā€¦yet another favourite, I love the flow of this name. I think it would age so well on a little girl, and ā€œ[name]Bea[/name]ā€ is such a sweet nn.
[name]Daphne[/name]ā€¦super cute!
[name]Odessa[/name]ā€¦I like this, seems like a bolder version of [name]Tessa[/name].
[name]Aspen[/name]ā€¦I wouldnā€™t use a name that starts with an ā€œAssā€ sound. Maybe in the middle?
[name]Alannah[/name]ā€¦pretty, but strikes me as a little 90ā€™s.
[name]Annaliese[/name]ā€¦I donā€™t understand why everyone loves this name. [name]Annaliese[/name]ā€¦Anal-easeā€¦no.
[name]Coral[/name]ā€¦lovely! Such a soft, sweet, pink little name.
[name]Jocelyn[/name]ā€¦seems a little dated.
[name]Katarina[/name]ā€¦I like this!
[name]Valencia[/name]ā€¦itā€™s okay.
[name]Waverly[/name]ā€¦this name as been interesting me lately. I really like it. Itā€™s modern without sounding trendy.
[name]Winter[/name]ā€¦a great middle
[name]Snow[/name]ā€¦another great, wintery middle.

Some favourite combinations:
[name]Adelaide[/name] [name]Snow[/name]
[name]Waverly[/name] [name]Sonnet[/name]
[name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Coral[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Aspen[/name]
[name]Odessa[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Amabel[/name] [name]Vesper[/name]
[name]Brigitta[/name] [name]Amoret[/name]
[name]Annika[/name] [name]Snow[/name], [name]Annika[/name] [name]Avalon[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name] [name]Winter[/name]

[name]Love[/name] [name]Sonnet[/name] especially as a mn

[name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Sonnet[/name] maybe, though the end of [name]Beatrice[/name] feels too soft [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Sonnet[/name] works better [name]IMO[/name]

I think you are pronouncing [name]Amoret[/name] right, thatā€™s how Iā€™ve always pronounced it. [name]Calypso[/name] is definitely usable in my opinion, I think itā€™s gorgeous. If you are looking for a ā€œwowā€ factor, I think these are your best betā€¦

[name]Calypso[/name]
[name]Amoret[/name]
[name]Avalon[/name]
[name]Amabel[/name]

If you like [name]Morgan[/name] and [name]Merrigan[/name], what about [name]Maren[/name] or [name]Marine[/name]? Or [name]Moira[/name]?
Also, have you thought about [name]Thalia[/name] or [name]Talia[/name] instead of [name]Athalia[/name]?
Some other names you might likeā€¦

[name]Anthea[/name]
[name]Astraea[/name]

[name]Mahala[/name]
Elowen
[name]Valor[/name] (nn [name]Val[/name])
[name]Artemisia[/name]
[name]Odette[/name]
[name]Amara[/name]
[name]Maris[/name]
[name]Mariska[/name]
[name]Lilac[/name]

[name]Athalia[/name] - interesting and pretty and I do think itā€™s usable.
[name]Narcissa[/name] - pretty and I donā€™t think it would cause THAT much of an issue, mostly spelling.
[name]Corisande[/name] - not bad, Iā€™m not a huge fan of the sound
[name]Vesper[/name] - Iā€™ve met a couple with this name, I think itā€™s usable and rather pretty
[name]Sonnet[/name] - I donā€™t care for it, but I donā€™t see it as any different than [name]Cadence[/name] or [name]Aria[/name].
[name]Annika[/name] - beautiful and definitely usable.
[name]Jubilee[/name] - well this is a grocery store chain where I grew up so I donā€™t care for it.
[name]Amabel[/name] - beautiful and usable
[name]Calantha[/name] -" "
[name]Amoret[/name] - Itā€™s nice, but not my favorite.
[name]Calandra[/name] - very close to my own name, so yes, usable.
[name]Calypso[/name] - love! I would use it
[name]Avalon[/name]- interesting and itā€™s nice in theory, but I donā€™t care for the sound at the end.
[name]Merrigan[/name] - interesting. I donā€™t mind it, but I think ti would get misspelled or mispronounced a lot of the time.
[name]Eleanor[/name] - beautiful, classic and timeless.
[name]Brigitta[/name] - beautiful and definitely useable
[name]Adelaide[/name] - cute, definitely more well know than the rest of your list, but not popular. It reminds me of Cool Aid.
[name]Beatrice[/name] - itā€™s nice, I vastly prefer [name]Beatrix[/name], though.
[name]Daphne[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name] and definitely usable
[name]Odessa[/name] - lovely!
[name]Aspen[/name] - I dont care for it, but it is usable.
[name]Alannah[/name] - I donā€™t like the H at the end or extra N - [name]Alana[/name] is lovely.
[name]Annaliese[/name] - beautiful
[name]Coral[/name] - ok, itā€™s usable, but I prefer [name]Cora[/name], [name]Cordelia[/name], [name]Coraline[/name] or maybe [name]Coralie[/name].
[name]Jocelyn[/name] - nice but a bit masculine
[name]Katarina[/name] - beautiful, I prefer [name]Catharina[/name], but I love it.
[name]Valencia[/name] - love it.
[name]Waverly[/name] - immensely dislike.
[name]Winter[/name] - pretty
[name]Snow[/name] - no.

[name]Daphne[/name]
[name]Annaliese[/name]
[name]Coral[/name]
[name]Katarina[/name]
[name]Winter[/name]
[name]Snow[/name]

That is actually really interesting! Thanks [name]Lori[/name]! I think despite the story I will keep the name on the list too!

Also, [name]Calypso[/name] seems to be getting a reasonable amount of love and it isnā€™t getting the abhorrant response I was expectingā€¦ maybe it IS just something in my head stopping me from embracing it completelyā€¦ hmmmmm
