[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] or [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] (nickname [name_f]Eve[/name_f] for both) goes better with [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] “[name_u]Theo[/name_u]”, [name_f]Arabella[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], and [name_m]Louis[/name_m]?
I worry that [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] might get shortened to “[name_f]Jen[/name_f]” and that [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] might be too girly and frilly. Thoughts?
Any middle name suggestions would be helpful as well.
I love both names, but I would choose [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], because I think lovely [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_m]WILL[/name_m] be shortened to [name_f]Jen[/name_f] or [name_f]Jenny[/name_f] and if she WANTS to go by [name_f]Jen[/name_f], people will assume she’s a [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f].
I think Evageline [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is lovely
Also:
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_u]Clair[/name_u]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Lenore[/name_f]
I like [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] slightly more. They’re both gorgeous names, but I am afraid [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] would be shortened to [name_f]Gen[/name_f]/[name_f]Jen[/name_f]. With [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] she could by [name_f]Eva[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f], or [name_u]Angel[/name_u] which are all super cute. Would the religious connection bother you though? Sometimes that turns people away from this name.
I think [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] goes better with your other names. It’s more international to me, which is what your names look like.
Am I the only person to not think that [name_f]Gen[/name_f] is a natural nickname? I guess I never thought of it. [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] is so pretty that I wouldn’t want to shorten it. But if I did, I would think [name_f]Evie[/name_f]/[name_f]Eva[/name_f]/Vee/[name_f]Viva[/name_f] would be more instinctual.
