What do you think of it? I’ve never really put any thought into [name]Geoffrey[/name]/[name]Jeffrey[/name] before, but looking at it now I like [name]Geoffrey[/name]'s meaning and its history and I like [name]Geo[/name]'s O ending. [name]Just[/name] looking for some other reactions!
I don’t like [name]Geoffrey[/name] - just not my style. But “[name]Geo[/name]” is a great NN for it
I love [name]Geoffrey[/name] and I’ve been suggesting it trying to get other people to love it as much as i do. I love it so much for Geoffrey Chaucer (my favorite medieval writer). I pronounce Geoffrey slightly differently than Jeffery (more like geh-of-ree – the geh as a very soft sound). I think [name]Geo[/name] could work for it.
I like [name]Geoffrey[/name]. My uncle is named [name]Jeffrey[/name], and I love the [name]Geoffrey[/name] spelling more. It seems more classic and historical. [name]Geo[/name] is an okay nn for it, I just have a bad impression of [name]Geo[/name] because there was a snobby boy in my high school named [name]Geo[/name]. It is nice though.
I could be wrong about this, but I pronounce [name]Geoffrey[/name] and [name]Jeffrey[/name] differently. [name]Geoffrey[/name] sounds like “joff-rey” instead of [name]Jeffrey[/name]. Regardless, I like [name]Geoffrey[/name] nn [name]Geo[/name].
It is better than the usual [name]Geoff[/name] but I love Joff as the nn I think it is outstanding.
I know a [name]Geoffrey[/name] nn [name]Geo[/name]. I like it.
I’ve always LOVED [name]Geoffrey[/name]. I say go for it. The nn [name]Geo[/name] is absolutely fine; although, I do prefer [name]Geoff[/name].
[name]How[/name] are you pronouncing [name]Geo[/name], is it [name]Joe[/name] or [name]Gee[/name] oh or Ghee oh?
I’m pronouncing [name]Geo[/name] like [name]Gee[/name]-oh, as in geology, but I definitely wouldn’t pronounce [name]Geoffrey[/name] like gee-oh-free. It tends to be pronounced like [name]Jeffrey[/name] where I live, but the internet is telling me that some countries pronounce it something more like [name]Joffrey[/name], which I don’t mind.
