I heard this is the royal baby’s name!
Yes, I just saw this! [name]George[/name] is not my favorite name, but I do like the flow of [name]George[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] [name]Louis[/name].
Agree - not a fan of [name]George[/name] but the names altogether are great and very [name]Regal[/name]. [name]Prince[/name] [name]George[/name] is gonna be the cutest little thing!
It’s cute, although I think that [name]Alexander[/name] [name]Louis[/name] [name]George[/name] sounds better.
A little disappointed because we were very seriously considering [name]George[/name] if this baby is a boy (and we’re due in about 2 weeks, so it’ll still be pretty new), and now it’s unusable. I just don’t want people to think we named him after this little [name]George[/name]! [name]George[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] [name]Louis[/name] is a great name, though
I think [name]George[/name] is such a boring choice for them, I know several million [name]Georges[/name]. Wish they’d been brave and gone with [name]Arthur[/name]. Oh well, the baby is still very cute!
surprised they didn’t use four names. not so surprised they used [name]George[/name]. Wish they would have used [name]John[/name] or [name]Arthur[/name].
I wonder what this will do to my top girl’s choice, [name]Georgia[/name]?
@lplafleur: [name]Harriet[/name], the feminine form of [name]Harry[/name] (also a name of a British [name]Prince[/name]) is hugely popular in the UK however has not made the leap to the US or the rest of the world. [name]Georgia[/name] is already quite popular in the UK and I could see the recent royal baby’s name have an influence on the feminine form too, I’m afraid.
I agree with others. Rather disappointed in [name]George[/name] although the whole name has nice flow. I, too, was hoping for a more daring choice such as [name]Arthur[/name], [name]John[/name], [name]Alfred[/name], [name]Frederick[/name] or [name]Richard[/name]. [name]Ah[/name] well, it’ll obviously make [name]George[/name] more popular so maybe it’ll freshen up the name and make it less “bleh.”
I am not a big fan of [name]George[/name], but the flow of [name]George[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] [name]Louis[/name] is nice… I was disappointed they only used three names…
I was hoping for a “[name]Frederick[/name]”.
[name]Ah[/name] well.
The flow is nice, but [name]George[/name] is such a boring choice imo.
I thought perhaps they would name him [name]Spencer[/name] in honor of [name]Diana[/name]! If not the first name, at least one of the names.
I think they picked a handsome name!
[name]How[/name] do you Nameberries think this will affect the name [name]George[/name]? We’ve had that name picked for a future son for two years, starting to re think it? Hmm.
Me too! I would have loved a little [name]Prince[/name] [name]Frederick[/name]! [name]Prince[/name] [name]Arthur[/name] would have been darling too.
I am a little disappointed that they went with the expected, slightly boring choice. [name]George[/name] is a strong classic name, but I was hoping they might go slightly out of the box. Maybe they’ll be a bit more daring with their second child.
I’m actually surprised at how many berries are disappointed with the name. I think [name]George[/name] is a nice, strong choice and [name]George[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] [name]Louis[/name] has a nice ring to it. I’d take [name]George[/name] any day over all the other crazy celebrity baby names we hear these days.
I agree! A very fine name.
Yeah, I’m surprised too! It’s a really lovely name and very refreshing in the royal family- the last [name]Prince[/name] [name]George[/name] was born 111 years ago! There are other names I’d have liked to see used but I’m not at all disappointed with the lovely [name]George[/name]!
I think… well i gotta admit, I find [name]George[/name] a bit boring. I know its a traditional name for the British monarchy and it honours his great grandfather, but I was hoping that they’d live up to the whole “[name]Will[/name] and [name]Kate[/name] are non-traditional”-hype and go for something like [name]Arthur[/name].
[name]Frederick[/name] was probably never going to happen because of the Danish crown [name]Prince[/name] [name]Frederick[/name]
