[name_m]George[/name_m] has been competing with [name_m]Louis[/name_m] ([name_u]Lou[/name_u]-ee) as my #1 boys’ name for quite some time now both because I love how boyish, simple and historical he is and because I’m Lebanese and St. [name_m]George[/name_m] the dragon slayer is a big deal and kids adore the tale (mine at least). What do you thinkof [name_m]George[/name_m] as the name of [name_f]Noor[/name_f], [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], [name_f]Viola[/name_f], [name_f]Ziva[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleni[/name_f]'s little brother?
Which do you prefer: [name_m]George[/name_m] or [name_m]Louis[/name_m]? Why?
[name_m]George[/name_m]. For the reason you gave for liking it. And because it sounds like a good fit with your other children’s names - they sound solid and substantial and so does [name_m]George[/name_m]. [name_m]Louis[/name_m] is softer sounding to me.
They’re both great though!
[name_m]George[/name_m] is a good, solid name and the legend is definitely a cool bonus for any little boy! But I still prefer [name_m]Louis[/name_m] - it’s so soft and yet unfussy, one of my very favourite boys’ names.
[name_m]George[/name_m] is such a strong and handsome name! [name_m]Louis[/name_m] is a nice name but I feel like you would forever be telling people how to pronounce it whereas [name_m]George[/name_m] is far simpler.
I think [name_m]George[/name_m] makes for a more substantial. Whereas, [name_m]Louis[/name_m] seems more like a nickname. Though I think [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Louis[/name_m] would make a great combination!
I love [name_m]Louis[/name_m]. But [name_m]George[/name_m] is lovely and just seem to “go” better with the names of your other children (which are also lovely, btw).
And the meaning behind the name seems to make [name_m]George[/name_m] the perfect choice imo.
