[name_m]George[/name_m] is my number one boys name at the moment. I’d love to get some input on my combos. Which, if any, of the combos below do you like? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have a favorite? Are there any that you dislike? As always, suggestions are appreciated!
I have a little [name_m]George[/name_m], so I’m obviously a fan! His name is [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], but that might be a bit bland for you. I love your combos [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m], [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Finnian[/name_m], [name_m]George[/name_m] Oleander, [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Gilead[/name_m], and [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Amias[/name_m] (this one’s my favorite!).
@threelittlebutterflies: Your little [name_m]George[/name_m] is very well named! I don’t find his combo to be bland at all—it’s a nice, handsome classic. I actually have [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] on my list but it tends to be overlooked in favor of other names because I have an uncle who bears the name.
I’m so glad to see you like [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Gilead[/name_m], it’s my favorite. I was nervous to put it out there since [name_m]Gilead[/name_m] doesn’t get much love.
[name_m]George[/name_m] [name_f]Veridian[/name_f] is really nice. It helps that viridian is one of my favorite colors. I also enjoy [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Osiris[/name_m] and [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Sirius[/name_m] (feels very HP). [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] really strikes my fancy. [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] is a name I love and can never seem to combo to my satisfaction.
[name_m]Zachariah[/name_m] is actually a name that’s ‘meh’ for me. But that brings to mind [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Zacharias[/name_m] which I quite like.
[name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Aneurin[/name_m] is sooo handsome - my favourite by far. [name_m]George[/name_m] eases into [name_m]Aneurin[/name_m] so nicely and the sounds are divine
I tend to like the names that have more than one syllable for the middle name, it just seems to flow better to me. My favorites are [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Gilead[/name_m], [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m], [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Alban[/name_m], [name_m]George[/name_m] Balther, and [name_m]George[/name_m] Oleander.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]George[/name_m]!! I find that since [name_m]George[/name_m] is a popular classic it’s nice having a more unique middle. In my signature I have [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] which I absolutely love. I’m also loving at the moment [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Albert[/name_m]. [name_m]Albert[/name_m] just feels perfect with [name_m]George[/name_m] :).
I really like [name_m]George[/name_m] Balther, [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Alban[/name_m], and [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Teilo[/name_m] (loving this one). I like [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Finnian[/name_m] but I like [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Finbarr[/name_m] a bit better.
@juliem1912: Two+ syllable names do seem to flow better with [name_m]George[/name_m]. It’s something I’ll be keeping in mind for future combos.
@saintdollface: [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] and [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Albert[/name_m] are very handsome combos!
Your suggestion of [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Finbarr[/name_m] is nice. I’ve never really been a fan of [name_m]Finbarr[/name_m] but I can appreciate it in this combo.
I like [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m], [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Frey[/name_m], [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Alban[/name_m] and [name_m]George[/name_m] Balther.
Without a pronunciation guide, I would pronounce “[name_m]Aneurin[/name_m]” like [name_f]Ann[/name_f]-EUR-in… which sounds like aneurysm to me. Sorry! And it looks like aneurysm, which puts me off it.
Good luck! [name_m]George[/name_m] is a great name and goes well with lots of middle names. I agree that 2 or 3 syllable names work a bit better than 1 syllable ones.
@cordelia16: I completely understand the pronunciation difficulties and the unfortunate aneurysm association being issues. That’s the reason I only have [name_m]Aneurin[/name_m] as a middle name option and why Aneirin was an option as well. I’d love to use it as a first name but I’d have to settle for [name_m]Nye[/name_m] or Neirin, though no one in the US is going to pronounce Neirin correctly anyway.
@dlane921: Great suggestions! [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m] is very handsome. It’ll probably make it to my list as I love [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m] in the middle. I enjoy [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] as well but I don’t think I could see myself with a [name_m]Lysander[/name_m]. I might have to think about it a bit more because it is quite a handsome combo.
As for [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Alastair[/name_m], it’s a fantastic suggestion and I love it but unfortunately it would never be usable for me as I lost a son named [name_m]Alasdair[/name_m].
[name_m]George[/name_m] is a great name, looking forward to meeting some!
[name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Gilead[/name_m] is beautiful and unexpected. So is [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m], though in both cases it is because I like both middles a whole lot.
I think the combos that flow the best are [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Amias[/name_m] and [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Alban[/name_m].
Ideas I have are [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Albion[/name_m], [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m], and [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Hardy[/name_m].
@lesliemarion: Thank you! I’m glad you liked my combos. Your suggestion of [name_m]Albion[/name_m] is very interesting, it’s never been on my radar but I love it’s sound.
@adelina_sophia: You’ve given some fantastic suggestions. I like [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Balthasar[/name_m], [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Otto[/name_m], [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] (@dlane921 mentioned it above as well and it’s growing on me), [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] ([name_m]Peter[/name_m] is a favorite of mine at the moment), and [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Ivan[/name_m].
[name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Eliezer[/name_m], [name_m]George[/name_m] Finnean, [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] and [name_m]George[/name_m] Oleander are my favorites
