I [name]LOVE[/name] the name [name]Georgia[/name] and it was the runner up name for my last daughter (we went with [name]Raphaela[/name] [name]Helene[/name]). I know the official rank number is in the high 200’s, but I’m afraid it’s becoming trendy as I’ve heard it a couple times lately (one being the rumored middle name for the [name]West[/name]-Kardashian baby - Ugh!). When we named my oldest daughter [name]Isabelle[/name] 14 years ago, we had never heard of anyone with that name, but look at how popular [name]Isabelle[/name]/[name]Isabel[/name] has become through the years. I wouldn’t have used that name had I known that. So what do you think? I also like [name]Nora[/name], but that one is ranked considerably higher than [name]Georgia[/name] at this point. Any alternative name suggestions?
I don’t think [name]Georgia[/name] is too trendy at all. It’s a beautiful name! And as far as baby [name]North[/name] [name]West[/name]- her birth certificate shows her name without a middle name. Here’s a link of the birth certificate. http://blog.zap2it.com/pop2it/north-west-birth-certificate.jpg
Anyway I love [name]Georgia[/name] and think you should use it! Good luck!
I love [name]Georgia[/name]. Although it’s currently at #298, it’s not trendy or very popular - I have only met one in my life. [name]Georgia[/name] is more of classic name like the most feminizations - it was in the Top 200 till the 1960-s then down supplanted by nicknamey names. And it has been rising again since the 1990-s, probably after being picked by [name]Mick[/name] [name]Jagger[/name].
I don’t think [name]Georgia[/name] will be in the Top 50 in a few of the following years but if you want something even less popular, try [name]Georgina[/name] or [name]Georgiana[/name].
I love [name]Georgina[/name], but I don’t think [name]Georgia[/name] will become too trendy.
I don’t think it’s trendy. It seems to have been hovering around the 300 mark for the last decade or so, so not spiking on the charts or anything. I’ve only known one girl named [name]Georgia[/name] and she’s probably 12 years old by now. I do love [name]Georgiana[/name] though, so that’s a good alternative that’s unlikely to trend. It hasn’t been on the SSN for 50 years.
I only know one [name]Georgia[/name]. But yes, I agree that you should consider [name]Georgiana[/name] or [name]Georgina[/name] if you’re worried. Or [name]Georgette[/name] or the French [name]Georgine[/name].
I think actually, or at least where I live, [name]Georgina[/name] is becoming more popular than [name]Georgia[/name]. But I do know several Georgias and several Georginas (although I’m guessing that you live in [name]America[/name], so it might be different there) I love [name]Georgia[/name] though - good luck!
[name]Isabelle[/name] isn’t really any more popular now than it was 14 years ago. [name]Isabella[/name] on the other hand, that’s a totally different story.
[name]Georgia[/name]'s slowly becoming more popular, that isn’t a trend. If it shoots up the charts, that makes it trendy, but since it’s been slowly rising over the last 15 years, that just means it’s becoming more popular. Popular does not mean trendy.
I have worried about this myself. We would love to use [name]Georgia[/name] in the future because it was my great-grandmother’s name. But when I looked up the popularity, I was a bit shocked and put off. Then, I went into a local baby boutique and noticed a registry for baby Gerogia [name]Kate[/name]. Sigh. I can see it becoming a popular hipster/yupster choice, which drives me insane. I don’t know what to make of how it’s trended on the charts over the years. Looks like a steep incline around 2000 and has stayed pretty high since then. (“High” to me is anything in the top 300-400.) I guess time will tell…
