Georgia

[name_m]Just[/name_m] wanting to get some feedback on the name [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] which is my favorite for my future baby girl. I’ve only recently had my first baby in [name_u]March[/name_u], a little boy named [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] [name_m]Michael[/name_m] [name_m]Charles[/name_m]. I love the sweetness mixed with cool of [name_f]Georgia[/name_f], but my only concern is the popularity of it! [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] will be super popular in a few years’ time? I love how [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] is so out of the ordinary…and how do you feel about [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] and [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] as a sibset? Oh, also, my maiden name was [name_m]George[/name_m],so I love how it honours that!

Thanks in advance

I love [name_f]Georgia[/name_f], especially with the connection to your maiden name. I’ve never met a [name_f]Georgia[/name_f]. [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] and [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] would be great as siblings.

I love [name_f]Georgia[/name_f]! And the association to your maiden name is great!
I thought strongly about [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] for my little one, but my last name is pronounced (although not spelled) like a type of lettuce, and I thought ‘[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] “Lettuce”’ would be an incredibly awkward name. Darn it…

Anyway…
I see [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] slowing rising up the popularity charts as some of the other classic older names get too popular, but, honestly, I don’t see it ever really topping the charts. The ‘[name_m]Georg[/name_m]’ harder G sound is going to be off-putting for a lot of parents who want softer ‘prettier’ names for their girls.
I, on the other hand, love the hard G 'cause I think a girl now-a-days needs a bit of sass in her! Ha!

Good luck!

I love [name_f]Georgia[/name_f], and I think that you have many great reasons to use it as a name. That being said, I know at least 4 children with the name [name_f]Georgia[/name_f]. I still think you should use it though!

I adore [name_f]Georgia[/name_f], And I think it works well with [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]. I also love the connection with your maiden name.

I love [name_f]Georgia[/name_f], especially with your connections to it.
No I do not think it will be popular in a few years time.

However if you want to stick with a safer, less popular way to honor [name_m]George[/name_m]… What about [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] or even [name_f]Gigi[/name_f].

or I like [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]
What about a joint name Georgialie or Georgelie

I adore [name_f]Georgia[/name_f], especially with the connection to your maiden name.

That being said, I don’t really like [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] with [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]. I just get completely different vibes from them, and so it is not a pairing I would use but there’s nothing inherently wrong with it.

I love [name_f]Georgia[/name_f], and I don’t think it’s going to be “too popular” at all. I like your taste in names – [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] is also an awesome name!

[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] is pretty and would work well on any type of girl. I prefer [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] though. It doesn’t really fit in with the current trend for lacy, soft-sounding names so I don’t see it suddenly jumping in popularity. [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] makes me think of Gone With the Wind (slightly obsessed with the book and movie…) and especially with [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] feels very Southern.

BTW, I see you’re in Newfoundland. Yay, another Canadian [name_u]Berry[/name_u]!

I love [name_f]Georgia[/name_f]. I think it may rise up the charts a bit more, but I don’t think it’ll make the top 100 any time soon.

Thanks guys! [name_f]Happy[/name_f] to hear you all think it won’t become the next “[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]”! It just seems like lately I’ve been hearing the name a lot which is a real bummer! Hopefully in a few year’s time when I’m ready to have another it won’t have risen in popularity!

[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] is a very pretty name! It would pair well in a sib set with [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u], as they are both “Southern”…but not
common, and still strong names.
I love the connection you have with the name, also. That makes it so much more special. Great choice, [name_f]IMO[/name_f]!

[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] isn’t too common anymore. And it’s classic anyway so who cares! If you love it use it.

[name_f]Love[/name_f] your son’s name- although I know a couple of Sullivans, so at least in the UK it’s not so unusual!
I think [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] goes beautifully with [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]. They compliment each other beautifully- both are stylish, but not too trendy, and modern but not so modern that they will become dated.
Good choice!

I really love [name_f]Georgia[/name_f], it was my favourite girls’ name until it was replaced for various reasons by [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f]. It’s pretty popular here in the UK (one of the reasons) but if it’s not popular where you are, it should get extra brownie points.
