Georgiana nn Gia

What do you think? I don’t like [name]Georgia[/name] (well I do, but I wouldn’t use) or [name]Georgina[/name]. The nn would only be used occasionally I think.

I was thinking maybe [name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Elspeth[/name].

[name]Georgiana[/name] is one of those names that I really love for a while and then I forget about, but then it always come back. I’d love thoughts!

[name]Georgiana[/name] is my favorite girly [name]George[/name] name!
I think it’s sweepingly gorgeous. [name]Gia[/name]'s an adorable nn too. [name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Elspeth[/name] is lovely, although I think [name]Georgiana[/name] needs a simpler middle to accent her beauty:
[name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Lily[/name]
[name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Lucy[/name]
[name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Elsa[/name]
[name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Ruby[/name]
[name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Alice[/name]

Something like that, anyway. I’d save [name]Elspeth[/name] for [name]Georgiana[/name]'s sister!
If I didn’t love [name]George[/name] most of all, [name]Georgiana[/name] would be on my own list!

Thanks for the suggestions. The last name though would be a two-syllable name that ends in -ie so most of those would be to matchy or cutesy. I can see how [name]Elspeth[/name] might be a bit much in the middle. I don’t think I’d use [name]Elspeth[/name] up front though as I find people tend to think the speaker has some sort of lisp, and they just say [name]Elizabeth[/name]. sigh

Ooh, [name]Georgiana[/name] is beautiful! I think she’s too beautiful for the nickname [name]Gia[/name], actually. The two have completely and utterly different images in my mind, but that can be a good thing. I would just call her [name]Gigi[/name] or [name]Georgie[/name]. But really, I’d try to keep it [name]Georgiana[/name] in full.

My name is [name]Georgina[/name] and I always wished it was [name]Georgiana[/name] instead, I just think it’s more feminine and graceful!

[name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Elspeth[/name] is beautiful! Really ladylike and stunning … but still gorgeous on someone fresh and youthful! The only nickname I hate for my name is “[name]Gina[/name]” … but with [name]Georgiana[/name], you wouldn’t get that which is such a bonus! I go by [name]GiGi[/name] mostly, and think it’s a lovely NN. [name]Gia[/name], [name]Gigi[/name], [name]Giana[/name], [name]Georgie[/name], [name]Georgia[/name] are all lovely nicknames, and I think [name]Georgiana[/name] is so pretty that people don’t mind that it’s a bit of a mouthful!

My full name is [name]Georgina[/name] [name]Felicity[/name] [name]Young[/name]. I think with a two syllable last name, you probably wouldn’t want anything more than two syllables in the middle, so [name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Elspeth[/name] works really well.

[name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Rose[/name]
[name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Clare[/name]
[name]Georgiana[/name] [name]May[/name]
[name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Hope[/name]

I love [name]Georgiana[/name] best of all from the “[name]George[/name]” names for girls. It’s romantic, sophisticated and classy with a great literary association. But I have to admit that [name]Gia[/name] is not my fave for her nn. I like [name]Lyndsay[/name]'s suggestions of [name]Gigi[/name] and [name]Georgie[/name] much better.
FYI - The similar name [name]Gianna[/name] is No# 86 in the US (it’s just rocketing up in popularity!). [name]Gia[/name] is #722 which is much better  She may get lost in all of the [name]Gianna[/name]'s! All the best!
