I was just looking at the [name_m]Bruce[/name_m] page, and I noticed that it has a flame next to it apparently indicating that it is “getting hot”. I was pretty sure that not too many people are as fond of [name_m]Bruce[/name_m] as I am… [name_m]Just[/name_m] curious of anyone knows if there is a reason for the increase interest?

I definitely don’t think of Bruce as a super trendy name, and I don’t see it on the forum too often, but I think it fits the short-retro-name trend that does seem to be prevalent here. It’s not far removed from names like Frank, Cal, Hank, Artie, etc. that are mid-level-popular, so I expect to start seeing it more often around Nameberry!

That’s what I was wondering. . . A celebrity? A character? I probably “made it hot” myself from constantly including it in my top boy names lol. If no one was searching it at all before and then 1 person does, that’s a 100% increase

I believe it’s an indication of web traffic. It could be for any number of reasons really. Maybe men named [name_m]Bruce[/name_m] are Googling the name to find out its meaning, or perhaps people are searching for information on [name_m]Bruce[/name_m] Springsteen and the Nameberry page pops up.

[name_m]Web[/name_m] traffic is probably the answer. Recently [name_f]Caitlyn[/name_f], formally [name_m]Bruce[/name_m], [name_m]Jenner[/name_m] made an announcement she was running for the [name_u]California[/name_u] gubernatorial election.

Oh wow! Every Bruce I know is between 50 and 70! It’s so weird to me that there are “little” Bruce’s out there.
