getting to nn Dory

Hello
I am looking for some ways to get to the nickname [name]Dory[/name]. I’ve come up with [name]Dorothy[/name] (and variations), [name]Adora[/name], [name]Adoria[/name], [name]Dora[/name], [name]Theodora[/name]. But are there any others? Right now [name]Dorothy[/name] is my favorite, but perhaps I’ve missed something good!

Thanks!

There’s these:
[name]Isadora[/name]
[name]Dorothea[/name]
[name]Dorcia[/name]
Aldora
[name]Eldora[/name]
[name]Doreen[/name]
[name]Doretta[/name]
[name]Doria[/name]
[name]Dorina[/name]
[name]Doris[/name]
[name]Eudora[/name]
[name]Pandora[/name]

Any good?

[name]Jess[/name]

There’s also [name]Eudora[/name]

[name]How[/name] about [name]Andorra[/name]?

Thank you for the suggestions so far!

[name]Eudora[/name] is my favorite next to [name]Dorothy[/name]. I like [name]Pandora[/name], [name]Andora[/name], but the movie is too recent for me.

Loving [name]Eudora[/name]!

[name]Dorothy[/name] is definitely my favorite. I also like [name]Isadora[/name] and [name]Theodora[/name].

If you want to get really out-there, there’s Nymphodora, Metrodora, and Menodora.

It’s a bit of a stretch since the spelling is different, but I could see [name]Dory[/name] as a nn for [name]Victoria[/name]…although you could get the [name]Tori[/name]/[name]Dory[/name] issue with that.

You’ve got some really lovely options; my favorites are:
[name]Dorothy[/name]
[name]Isadora[/name]
[name]Theodora[/name]

I do have some great options - thank you everyone!

Nothing is hitting home as much as [name]Dorothy[/name] does, but my long list is now a little longer
