I like both names, but I get stuck saying “Giddy” in my head when thinking about [name_m]Gideon[/name_m]. I love [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m], and nn [name_m]Gabe[/name_m] is okay.

Thank you for your feedback!

I really like [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]. [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] is okay but super biblical to me, it hasn’t become more normalized like other biblical names such as [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m], [name_u]Noah[/name_u], or [name_m]Daniel[/name_m].

Both are lovely. You need twin boys.

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

They’re both great names. I slightly prefer [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like [name_m]Gabe[/name_m]? It may be a slightly unavoidable nn. I kind of love the nns [name_m]Gib[/name_m] & [name_m]Gibby[/name_m]. [name_u]Gaby[/name_u] is cute too. [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] doesn’t really have any good nns, which may be good or bad depending on your preference. It’s far less common, which is good. It sounds way more religious, which again, may be good or bad depending on your preference. These are just some things too consider. But in conclusion, I prefer [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]. It’s beautiful & classic.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

I love the sound of [name_m]Gideon[/name_m], but I agree with pp that the lack of nickname and overtly Biblical tie make me hesitant. I would be more likely to use [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] because I love [name_m]Gabe[/name_m].

I like both names, but I can’t get past the meaning of [name_m]Gideon[/name_m].
