We seem to be closing in on a possible boy name. Brothers are [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m], [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m], and [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] [name_u]Steele[/name_u]. All of our kids’ middle names honor family/friends and for this baby we are looking at [name_m]Sanders[/name_m] or [name_m]William[/name_m] (maybe both). Last name is A-ma-to. And the nominees are:
I love [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] and [name_m]Judah[/name_m] both.
I don’t see how [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] doesn’t go with [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]? Sounds perfect to me. And [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] goes well with all the listed names.
I’ve never really warmed to [name_u]Seth[/name_u]. But I adore [name_m]Gideon[/name_m]. [name_m]Judah[/name_m] I’m conflicted on, I really like it tremendously but I keep moving it to the middle in my combos as it’s a bit of a “statement” and I worry about ignorant people associating it with [name_m]Judas[/name_m].
I’m putting in a vote for [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] [name_m]Sanders[/name_m]. I love [name_m]Gideon[/name_m], and [name_u]Seth[/name_u] lacks substance to me. [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] has more personality.
[name_m]Judah[/name_m] works best with your sons names. [name_u]Seth[/name_u] seems out of place with no nn potential. [name_m]Daniel[/name_m], [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], and [name_m]Judah[/name_m] flow nicely as do [name_m]Dan[/name_m], [name_m]Ben[/name_m], [name_m]Eli[/name_m], and [name_m]Jud[/name_m]. [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] works well with [name_m]Daniel[/name_m], [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], and [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] but the nn is problematic. Although if you name him [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] [name_m]Sanders[/name_m] you could use [name_u]Gus[/name_u] as a nn.
Definitely [name_u]Seth[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m]!
[name_u]Seth[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]Sanders[/name_m] is too much of a mouth full, especially when you add your last name.
I’ve never liked [name_m]Gideon[/name_m]…
I love Gideon it’s got spunk and style and Seth is flat and boring. William rhymes with Gideon but I like it with Sanders on the end because Sanders on it’s own sounds a little bit weird.
[name_u]Seth[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m] is lovely and I think it goes great with [name_m]David[/name_m], [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_m]Elijah[/name_m].
As much as I love [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] (and also [name_u]Seth[/name_u]), I’d suggest [name_u]Seth[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m], as it goes best with your other boys’ names. Not a whole lot of people (outside of Nameberry or other name forums) know that [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] has association to the Bible, as its a lot less common. [name_m]Judah[/name_m] is also really cool, but it sounds similar to [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]. [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] & [name_m]Judah[/name_m] are pretty matchy. If you really love [name_m]Judah[/name_m], I’d suggest [name_u]Jude[/name_u]. I think using two middles is unfair, as all your other boys just have one middle. [name_u]Seth[/name_u] has always been a mysterious feel to me, and I love the sound.
[name_m]Daniel[/name_m], [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], & [name_u]Seth[/name_u] go great, the best I think. They’re all really traditional Biblical names.
[name_m]Daniel[/name_m], [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], & [name_u]Jude[/name_u] do too.
[name_m]Daniel[/name_m], [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], & [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] are neat, but [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] sticks out, as its the most unique.
[name_u]Seth[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m] has my vote.
[name_u]Seth[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m] has my vote too!
First, because [name_u]Seth[/name_u] is my very favorite boys name ever! It’s soft but still strong souding, and it’s one of the last soft-sounding boys names hat hasn’t gone to the girls! I love it!
Second, I love [name_m]William[/name_m] as a middle (and first) and the name flows really well, and is long enough without being a mouthful.
Third, [name_f]Lil[/name_f] [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] is an evil charector on a Disney channel show called [name_f]Gravity[/name_f] Falls (I know this from babysitting, I don’t watch it!) so a child with that name might be teased.
Good luck!
To me [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] feels stronger than [name_u]Seth[/name_u], which feels slightly lispy to me. [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]Sanders[/name_m] or either or of the single middle options all sound great! [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] & [name_u]Seth[/name_u] both lack nickname options! Maybe [name_m]Gil[/name_m] for [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m]?
[name_m]How[/name_m] would you pronounce [name_m]Deon[/name_m]? [name_f]DEE[/name_f]-ahn or [name_f]DEE[/name_f]-un (like [name_m]Ian[/name_m] with a D at the beginning)?
