We are having a hard time finding girl names to go with our challenging last name, and i would love to get your expert advice!
Basically, the challenge is twofold:
Our last name is quite serious, almost stern sounding with three syllables, so to me any of the more classic or longer girl names sound too heavy when paired with it. Eg [name_f]Isabella[/name_f], [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], [name_f]Georgina[/name_f] etc dont work. [name_m]Even[/name_m] short classics like [name_f]Jane[/name_f] or [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] just sound too serious.
The last name also begins with an “Eye” sound, so i dont think it flows with any names ending in a vowel sound like “-a” or “-y / -ie”. Its crazy how many girl names that cuts out! Especially when looking for less serious names eg. [name_f]Mollie[/name_f], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f]…
So my plea to you is: what are some girls names that fit with all these criteria?
light-hearted, fresh, fun
(but also not babyish, will suit all ages)
one or two syllables
doesn’t end in a vowel sound??
Sorry for the long post, i excitedly await your suggestions!
