My daughter is 7 and her name is Kameryn nn [name]Kam[/name] I had her very very young and regret the spelling of her name. While she is the only girl Kameryn in her school we have all seen the [name]Kayden[/name], [name]Kaydence[/name], [name]Kennedy[/name], [name]Kayla[/name], [name]Kylie[/name], [name]Kyla[/name] and so on way too over used. I still love the name but if I could change it she would be [name]Cameron[/name]. Oh well. Like I said I was young. Now I am pregnant with my second child and we do not have a girl name that we can agree on. As much as I would like to find something that flows with Kameryn I am so over the way over done two syllable ending in N names and the “unique spelling” that butchers a perfectly beautiful name. The names I like are:
[name]Madden[/name] "(2 syllable ending in N name I know im a hypocrite) but my husband says its too much like [name]Maddison[/name] and of course we know several Maddys.
[name]Hazel[/name]
[name]Violet[/name]
[name]Finley[/name]
[name]Ruby[/name]
[name]Camilla[/name]
[name]Lux[/name]
[name]Seraphina[/name]
[name]Penny[/name]
[name]Dorthy[/name] nn [name]Dot[/name]
I am worried that these are all on the edge of trendy and I will have name regret just like I do with [name]Kam[/name]. Also none of them seem to flow with Kameryn. Does that matter?
I am looking for suggestions on names that will flow with Kameryn ([name]Kam[/name]) and/or you opinions on the names not going together.
Thanks for taking the time to help I can’t wait to read what you have to say!
I think these are way too different from Kameryn, they are very frilly and one daughter may resent the fact that she has an overly frilly name or the other daughter may be annoyed that she got saddled with the unisex name. I don’t think names have to match, but I do think it looks odd to see a Kameryn and [name]Violet[/name] or a Kameryn and [name]Seraphina[/name] in the same set. [name]Don[/name]'t get me wrong, I think they are nice names. With Kameryn, I think these fit the best:
[name]Madden[/name]-you might also like [name]Madigan[/name] or [name]Mabyn[/name]
[name]Finley[/name]
[name]Lux[/name]
I think some of the names from your list could work with Kameryn, namely [name]Finley[/name], [name]Ruby[/name], and [name]Lux[/name]. Here are some suggestions:
I love the spelling of Kameryn. I have never seen it before. It looks more feminine to me and [name]Cameron[/name] makes me think of a boy. I love [name]Kam[/name] for a nickname too. I love [name]Lux[/name]. Probably would be called Luxie alot…havn’t heard that name much at all. Very unique.
I think [name]Kam[/name] and [name]Lux[/name] would be GREAT together and I really don’t see [name]Lux[/name] becoming trendy. I think [name]Ruby[/name] and [name]Hazel[/name] could work as well. The only ones I don’t see working are [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Dorothy[/name]. If we’re going with names not from your list I would choose something like [name]Willow[/name] or [name]Willa[/name], [name]Sage[/name] or [name]Ivy[/name].
