Because the last name [name]Blue[/name] is so distinctive, I do think that some of the concerns you have are valid. I voted for [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name] because I think it sounds the best and is not subject to the issues raised. I don’t think anything too cute-sy or noun-oriented works. [name]Rowan[/name] would be second, but [name]Rowan[/name] [name]Britton[/name] has a little too many Ns for me, so [name]Esther[/name] gets second place.

Some other possibilties:

[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name]
[name]Avery[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name]
[name]Avis[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name]
[name]Clara[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name]
[name]Dorothy[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name]
[name]Edith[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name]
[name]Felicia[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name]
[name]Helena[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name]

[name]Nadia[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name]
[name]Pamela[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name]
[name]Ramona[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name]
[name]Sylvia[/name]/[name]Sylvie[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name]
[name]Thais[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name]
[name]Teresa[/name]/[name]Tessa[/name]/[name]Tess[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name]
[name]Vera[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name]

I like [name]Harlow[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name] the best. [name]Stella[/name] is fine and I wouldn’t worry about the association you have. I do agree that [name]India[/name] [name]Blue[/name] sounds like a color but, that doesn’t make it a bad thing. All your names are lovely but this is how I rate them from what I think sounds the best with your middle/surname and what doesn’t seems to work as well.

Good [name]Luck[/name]!

I too voted for [name]Eloise[/name], for two reasons: 1) I think a three syllable name is best with [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name] (2-1); 2) as pp said, [name]Blue[/name] is very distinctive and strong, some think it should be paired with a serious, classic, romantic name like [name]Eloise[/name].

I was drawn to [name]Esther[/name], but then realised that’s because there’s an Australian film called Hey Hey it’s [name]Esther[/name] Blueburger.

I like [name]Eloise[/name] for the reasons PP has stated.

With an androgynous middle name like [name]Britton[/name], I’d go with a specifically feminine middle name - no [name]Harlow[/name] (which will become dated in 10 years, anyway), [name]Flannery[/name] or [name]Rowan[/name].

With a surname like [name]Blue[/name], I’d avoid descriptive words ([name]India[/name], [name]Rowan[/name]) or names that sound light and “sing-song-y” ([name]Lyra[/name], [name]Stella[/name], [name]Delaney[/name]). This eliminates [name]Raquel[/name] too - unless you are ready to deal with “[name]Rocky[/name]” [name]Blue[/name]. I think you need a really strong, “adult” sounding first name here.

[name]Harlow[/name] > [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name]
[name]Lyra[/name] > [name]Liora[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name]
[name]Raquel[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name] > [name]Rachel[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name] / Rosabel [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name] / [name]Raphaelle[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name]
[name]Stella[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name] > [name]Estella[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name]
[name]India[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name] > [name]Ingrid[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name] ("[name]Indy[/name]")
[name]Delaney[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name] > [name]Adelaide[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name]
[name]Rowan[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name] > [name]Romaine[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name]
[name]Flannery[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name] > [name]Florine[/name] [name]Britton[/name] [name]Blue[/name]

[name]Eloise[/name] and [name]Esther[/name] are your best choices by far.

Thank you all for your responses!

[name]Blue[/name] really complicates things. At first, I thought it was such a great last name, but with the style of first names I like, it pushes a lot of them into the “trying too hard” / “too cool” category quickly.

I am trying to balance my style, a nice flow and pretty, fairly uncommon name without it going into it crazy-made up name territory. I appreciate all your thoughts!!

i love your last name. i think stella blue and india blue sound the best. good luck!

I voted for [name]India[/name] [name]Blue[/name] because I thought it had the best flow…and then I saw [name]Stella[/name]. I like [name]Stella[/name] [name]Blue[/name] even better but I’m not sure how to change my vote

I voted for [name]Lyra[/name], [name]Stella[/name], [name]Esther[/name], and [name]Flannery[/name].
[name]Love[/name] [name]Lyra[/name]!
Like [name]Stella[/name] and [name]Esther[/name]
I know a little [name]Flannery[/name] who’s the most amazing kid I’ve ever met!

[name]Lyra[/name] [name]Blue[/name] is too pretty to resist.
