Since you will be using [name_f]Audra[/name_f] [name_f]Cate[/name_f] as a double name, how about using a second middle? Like [name_f]Audra[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] or [name_f]Audra[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Helene[/name_f]?
[name_f]Audra[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] nn [name_f]Audra[/name_f] [name_f]Cate[/name_f] is my favourite.
Good luck!
[name_f]Audra[/name_f] [name_f]Cate[/name_f] is lovely… Wow! I usually prefer [name_f]Kate[/name_f] but the “C” looks so soft and pretty next to [name_f]Audra[/name_f].
Thanks ladies! Still trying to be okay with not honoring my grandmothers, although they would be fine with it I am sure. Using family names is more of a southern tradition which is where we live but I am from Ohio, as is my entire family. Nobody is my family is expecting anyone to use their names. Whereas I think my daughter [name_u]Ainsley[/name_u] has the only non-family name in DH’s entire extended family. Everyone in his family uses family names and has for generations. I know it would mean a lot to them if we used [name_f]Audra[/name_f]. Also, truth be told, I do think [name_f]Audra[/name_f] [name_f]Cate[/name_f] is probably my favorite in terms of not sounding too old-fashioned and having the least bad nickname potential. The idea of her being called Wheezy instead of [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] really bugs me or kids making fun of the sound “hell” being in the name [name_f]Helene[/name_f]. But I still can’t help but feel a little guilty.
I love [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Helen[/name_f] and I like [name_f]Audra[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f].
