Lol 4 girls… Not happening!!! This is going to be our last so there’s added pressure!!
[name_f]Astra[/name_f] is replacing [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] on our list- someone previously mentioned that [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] was given a foul nickname on the office…
Hubs doesn’t like [name_u]Indigo[/name_u], but I love it!! And he likes [name_f]Gilda[/name_f], but not [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] or [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]!
[name_f]Meadow[/name_f] is the front runner at home right now, but I keep looking so I guess that tells me something?
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] and [name_u]Arden[/name_u] are my favorites. I’m intrigued by [name_f]Astra[/name_f] too, though I’m not sure I love the sound with [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]. Good luck!
I love [name_f]Meadow[/name_f], [name_u]Arden[/name_u] and [name_u]Indigo[/name_u]. [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] is lovely but it feels kind of bored and “expected” compared to them.
Yes they are all nature name but some of them are more common as names and other ones are a bit more out there, I should have been more clear. [name_f]Meadow[/name_f] and [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] sound like they would be sisters. [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] and [name_u]Arden[/name_u] sound like they would be sisters. I don’t think these groups overlap and I feel like [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] fits better in the second group.
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f] is high up on my list for a girl, so because of that I always take these threads a little too personally, so I apologize in advance, haha, but I don’t like any of these names with [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]. Honestly, they don’t really fit with [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]'s style. [name_f]Meadow[/name_f], [name_u]Indigo[/name_u], [name_f]Astra[/name_f] are a little out there and really make [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] stand out. [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] is pretty, and I guess that would be my favorite, but I feel it’s a little too old school next to [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]. [name_u]Arden[/name_u] and [name_f]Gilda[/name_f] are just kind of bleh.
I think we look at the name [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] differently! While I appreciate the mythology associated with it, to me it is a nature name- daphne the nymph was named after the tree her father transformed her into. To me, names like [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], etc, are too “obvious” for a sibling for [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]- that’s not what I want to pull out of her name. I want to play on the tree/flower/nature meaning instead.
Again, two ways to look at the same name- either way, it’s a beautiful name and I love that it’s at the top of your list!
Too funny, I have considered every name on your list, but they have all been vetoed! Either we know someone with the name already, dh said no, it they don’t go with our last name (ends in -er, otherwise juniper would be at the top!).
I like [name_f]Estella[/name_f] and [name_u]Arden[/name_u]. I would also like [name_f]Gilda[/name_f] if it was pronounced “Jzeel dah” like I hear in the opera.
