sorry it took me a little while to make it!! haha did not know it posted without me being done
I like most of your names for girls, from your list I voted for [name]Anabelle[/name]. I just think it’s very pretty. My second favorite from your list would have to be [name]Elliana[/name] with the nn [name]Ellie[/name].
I voted [name]Charlotte[/name] but [name]Elliana[/name] would be my second choice. I like all of them except [name]Olive[/name] which always reminds me of [name]Olive[/name] Oyl!
[name]Olive[/name] is my favorite.
Followed by [name]Anabel[/name] (though I dislike the fact that there are so many acceptable spellings)
Followed by [name]Charlotte[/name].
I don’t like [name]Elliana[/name] or [name]Vivienne[/name] at all.
thank you!! lately I am so drawn to [name]Olive[/name] since I keep coming across things in the [name]New[/name] Testament about the Mount of Olives and olive trees… [name]Elliana[/name]/[name]Ellie[/name] is one that sticks with me and I seem to not stop liking…the rest are ones I have always liked… with the exception of [name]Vivienne[/name] which is new but I do love. I think that is the one my hubby likes least of those. We are pre TTC and I already drive him nuts with the names!! haha
ha!!! I did not watch Popeye much… I like [name]Olive[/name] because of the references to olive trees in the Bible!
I like all of them except for [name]Olive[/name] (makes me picture olives, as in the food). [name]Vivienne[/name] got my vote; it has become one of my favorites lately. [name]Elliana[/name] would have been second.
I like [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Vivian[/name] the best. I really hate [name]Olive[/name]. [name]Do[/name] not get the appeal of this name.
From your list, I like [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Annabel[/name], and [name]Vivien[/name] best.
I get the appeal of [name]Olive[/name]. I just don’t think it fits in with your other choices. It seems like a much more offbeat nature oriented choice. While your other choices are all very feminine romantic sounding names. Of your choices, [name]Olive[/name] fits best my own personal style of girl naming, so it would be the name I would choose for my own daughter if those were my only choices. I agree that it does have a quite strong connection to [name]Olive[/name] Oyl, but I think it is a strong enough name to overcome that. Of your other choices, my favorite pick would be [name]Charlotte[/name].
strawberry_fields- I know, it is a little random!! I like the biblical connection to the mount of olives and olive trees in the [name]New[/name] Testament. I am not sure I would actually use it, just something I am liking a lot lately. You are so right- totally not the same kind of name as the others or one that I would normally choose. Surprisingly enough, my mother suggested it to me after hearing a celebrity or person on TV name their daughter [name]Olive[/name]. [name]Olivia[/name] is beautiful and probably more my style, I just could never use it from the number of Olivias I know that are my age plus the ones I have recently seen in the nurseries.
[name]Olivia[/name] is one of my all time favorite names and [name]Livy[/name] gives me tingles
[name]Olive[/name] is very similar and I too like the [name]New[/name] Testament olive tree connection.
I agree it is adorable- I babysat for a baby “[name]Olivia[/name] [name]Lucille[/name]” who went by [name]Livy[/name]… gorgeous name!
Definitely [name]Annabel[/name] (though I prefer this spelling, and I kind of like that there are a lot of valid options for spelling). [name]Charlotte[/name] is a very close second. The others don’t even come close.
Drew Barrymore named her child Olive in September. I originally thought it was an odd choice, although perhaps not so odd for her since she is such a wonderfully unique person. But it has really grown on me. If Olive is your favorite name, I think you should go ahead and name your daughter that. Ultimately, it doesn’t matter much that it matches the style of the other names you have picked out. What matters most is that you and your husband love it and that it has personal significance to you.
that is sweet!! thanks… we are pre TTC… but thinking of TTC within the year. eek! anyway, great advice. I like [name]Olive[/name] quite a bit lately but have not talked to hubby about it much. I think of those names he would like [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Ellie[/name] best.
[name]How[/name] about [name]Olive[/name] as a middle name? [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Olive[/name] is my favorite.
I voted for [name]Olive[/name], [name]Anabelle[/name], and [name]Charlotte[/name], because I love them fairly equally. If [name]Annabel[/name] was spelled as such, that would have easily gotten my first vote, but I don’t like the [name]Anabelle[/name] spelling quite so much. I love [name]Olive[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name] in general, though.
