Please share your thoughts on these names. Sisters are [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and while I obviously don’t mind name popularity, I’m hoping for a little less popular with #3!
My favorite name is [name_f]Cora[/name_f], but husband vetoed. My husband and I both like [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], but it rhymes with our last name and we don’t care for [name_u]Julie[/name_u]/[name_f]Julia[/name_f]. We also both like [name_f]Claire[/name_f], but I’m pretty set on [name_f]Mae[/name_f] for the middle name and don’t like [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] as a combination.
I think [name_f]Laura[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] work really well!
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] will be just as popular and [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] is very different to [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] but if that doesn’t bother you it is a lovely name
I like [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] and [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] best with [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], but I have to say, [name_f]Claire[/name_f] would be my first choice if you were considering it. I also wonder if you might like [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]?
Either way, I think [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] followed by [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], off your list.
I think in regard to style and the popularity of each name, [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] fits best with [name_f]Emma[/name_f] & [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]. However, as you are saying you would like something a little less common, and you really love [name_f]Claire[/name_f], I think [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is your best option (I like [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] best of your options in general).
I think [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is darling. But if you don’t love the combo my 2nd choice is [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]. Good luck.
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] is my favorite, followed by [name_f]Laura[/name_f]. Would you consider [name_f]Livia[/name_f] instead of [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]?
My vote is for [name_f]Clara[/name_f] or [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]. [name_f]Laura[/name_f] is a little too dated for my taste (an older name, but not yet vintage) and is what a lot of girls/women my age are called. I know a TON of Lauras in their 20s-40s. [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is also very popular, so if you are trying to steer away from that, I would go with [name_f]Clara[/name_f] or [name_u]Vivian[/name_u].
So you have 2 children each with a classically popular 2 syllable first and subtle classic single syllable middle.
Both of your childrens names begin and end differently as do their middles.

[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] Je@n

I won’t reuse any initials of beginning or ending sounds from any names…
I think [name_f]Cora[/name_f] would be lovely but ending the same as your oldest child’s name may be a reason to avoid it.
I like everyone’s suggestion of [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] BUT if feels … Ending in an A again and being longer makes it feel clunky in this sib set. Personally I would suggest sticking to a shorter name. Otherwise style wise it does fit.
I’ll post suggestions in a separate comment.
[name_f]Olive[/name_f] is my suggestion
I think really fits - similarly to [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] but less common like you suggested and more gentle than [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]
I feel like your other 3 names either end in A or are just long enough to feel like they don’t quite fit.
[name_u]Harper[/name_u] fits well also but may not be quite what you’re looking for
[name_f]Opal[/name_f] I really like for you, similar stylistically to [name_f]Cora[/name_f], underused, o name like [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], subtle classic
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is also nice
I think [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is the perfect sister name for [name_f]Emma[/name_f] & [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]! [name_f]Nora[/name_f] would be my only other suggestion due to it’s similarity to [name_f]Cora[/name_f] & that it goes well with your other girls’ names in my opinion!
I like [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]. [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] also strikes me as a name similar to [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Cora[/name_f], if that’s up your ally.
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] was very high on my list for DD2, but we went with [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] instead. I like [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] a lot more than [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] and I was committed to using [name_u]Jean[/name_u] for DD2’s middle name. Maybe I should give [name_f]Alice[/name_f] some stronger consideration again this time!
