Girl name with surname Pearson

Hello,
We are expecting our second baby, we have an [name_m]Orlando[/name_m] [name_u]John[/name_u] [name_m]Pearson[/name_m] already who will be nearly 2 when his sister arrives.

Trying to pick a name, I don’t want anything on the top 100 list and don’t want it to sound too hipster or “unique” as many modern names are.

These are my thoughts so far:

[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] Person
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_u]Anne[/name_u] [name_m]Pearson[/name_m]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_m]Pearson[/name_m]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_u]Anne[/name_u] [name_m]Pearson[/name_m]
[name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_m]Pearson[/name_m]

I’ve always loved [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and thought I would use that but it’s hard to make it work and [name_f]Flora[/name_f] is now feeling right but not sure.

Does anyone have any thoughts on pros/cons of these names or similar name combination suggestions?

Flora Anne Pearson is lovely! I also love Flora Mae and Clementine Mae  Flora Mae Pearson is my favorite.

I love [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] so it’s a really tough choice. With [name_m]Orlando[/name_m] I probably think [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] goes best but really any one of these is brilliant. If I’m considering first and middle though my favourite is [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. They’re beautiful separately and together. [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is a close second. Here are some other names you may like:

I love [name_f]Flora[/name_f] and love this as Orlando’s sister! I also love [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] with your surname, and like [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] as well. [name_m]Orlando[/name_m] and [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] does make me immediately think of the novel/film [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] and [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] though so would probably avoid that.

For me a little change around - [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] - would be absolutely perfect.

Congratulations! You have a lovely list.

I think Flora fits the bill best, although I also adore Clementine with Orlando. They have the same extravagant yet sophisticated feel.

Clara and Iris feel too popular for you (I’d put money on Iris entering the Top 100 in the next 2-3 years).

Lucinda is a little bit frilly and you could find it shortened to the popular Lucy (Lucasta as an alternative?)

Clementine is such a sweet, cool stylish name but to me it’s the most “hipster” on your list.

Flora is perfect! Pretty but not frou-frou, familiar but surprisingly uncommon, and lovely with your surname and sibling name.

Good luck :four_leaf_clover:
